I heard about the new security measures for flying. I have not been on a airplane since 1998. I don't think I will ever fly again. I would rather go by car. I know these new security measures will make us safe, but some of them are getting to be ridiculous. I also heard years down the road that they want to inplant a micro chip into everyone's fingertip.

I don't mind flying... Much faster than by car (I can never drive!), I don't have to persaude anyone into roadtripping with me, etc...

I flew Delta just days after the foiled Christmas Day attack (I flew on the 28th) and it wasn't any different than it usually is. It sucks that I can't have family or friends meet me at the gate, but that's okay. Less crowded, anyway. Airports are pretty ****ing crowded as it already is.

I plan to fly to NYC at the end of this year... Sheesh. Good luck to me

Oh, I'm still going to fly. I LOVE to fly!! I don't care about all the security measures. I can deal with it. When I go up north, I refuse to drive. I rather fly 2 hrs than drive 14!!

The last time I flew was in 2007. It was summertime, and even though I was wearing clear jelly shoes with no socks, I still had to take them off when I went through the security checkpoints. If I have to travel a long way, I'd rather fly. Otherwise, I'll drive.

Same! I flew 3x last year. Besides, how are you going to go across the ocean if you refuse to fly? By ship? Swimming? :winkgrin

If you know WTF to do before going through security, it only takes a minute. Two, at most. That means like... Looking at TSA's site. Putting liquids in the appropriate-sized containers in your carry-on.

I love flying so much too, omg. I'm fine with spending all that money for plane tickets - as long as I get there faster than by car. :)

I dont mind flying, and enjoy it. I do have my opinions about one way to make sure we have more safety in the airports. Its under the politics sections if anyone is interested.

I enjoy flying, even with the added security.

I hate flying. I usually end up flying once every 4-5 yrs. After all that has happened I want to fly even less.
