Does anyone know if Lifetime has aired the mystery where there is this little hut in the middle of this gravel yard or open field area, where some kid(s)? got trapped in it, but there was suspicion of foul play. The hut was probably a little bigger then a port-a-potty. Perhaps a burn hut or something, I can't remember what it was used for.

Does anyone even remember that one?

I actually did see a segement the other on a rerun about two boys, whom were about 8-9 years old who were trapped in hut. Passersby saw smoke coming out of the hut and later on the remains of the two boys were found. Apparently the witnesses saw two men near the hut, one ran up the hill, apparently paraniod and the other man stood in front of the hut. They suspect these men have something to do with the fire.

Word is that the boys found out something was going on in that area. They had allegedly found some money in the field near the hut believed to have been dropped during a drug deal.

That's what I remeber from it. Hope it helps!

Yes, it was on about a week ago. The hut itself was used to store tools used to excavate metal (gold/silver/copper?) from the ground. It was abandoned and years later a family moved to about 50 feet of the structure, which no one thought was a danger. Two boys (under age 10) were burned to death in the hut. Police ruled it an accident, but there is a susupicion and evidence that suggests that the boys may have seen a drug deal and were killed by the dealers.

I remember that case as well.

The name of one of the little boys that died in the shack was named Scott Johnson. For some reason, Unsolved Mysteries did not give the name of the other boy. (They always said, Scott Johnson and one of his friends)

It's obvious that the boys were murdered. The shack was not very big, and they would obviously have known to leave it if it caught on fire. A theory stated that the boys were probably playing with matches and burned themselves, but that idea is absurd. All they had to do to exit the shack was push on the door, there was no lock. The only way they could be trapped inside was if somebody was holding the door shut on the outside.

And seeing that there were witnesses that saw 2 men hanging around the shack when it caught fire and the fact that the boys were inside screaming at the same time proves that it was murder.

A couple weeks before he was murdered, Scott found a 100 dollar bill while playing in the field. If that money was in fact used for drug deals and the boys were murdered because the men thought that they would report them, I think those killers had to have been as stupid as you can get. Little kids don't even know what drugs are, and they didn't know the names. Whatever.

Unfortunately, since this all happened in the early 70's (or late 60's, I can't remember) and since the police officers of the town have long since retired or moved away, there's probably no chance of this case ever being solved. Just one of those tragedies where a killer never gets caught. Very sad. :(
