A stage adaptation of Will Ferrell's 2003 Christmas movie Elf is set to bring festive cheer to Broadway.
Producers are planning a big budget musical version for the New York stage with the songwriters behind Drew Barrymore's 1998 movie The Wedding Singer.
The show, which tells the story of a normal-size man who is raised by elves in the North Pole and comes to New York in search of his real father, is expected to hit Broadway next Christmas, according to the New York Post.
