If anyone can help me out with this episode and the story that it was about. I would greatly appreciate it. The episode dealt with a man who was investigating why the Canadian Justice Department got a hold of software that was only licensed to the US Department of Justice(database software back in the early 80s). This investigative journalist then started to uncover through CIA informants of a group known as "The Octopus". On what became his last visit to meet with a CIA insider, he was found dead in a hotel room with slash marks to his wrist and a suicide note. The odd thing is that he was afraid of knives, the family wasn't notified of his death until 2/3 days later, an autopsy wasn't done until the family insisted(embalmed without permission), and an unidentified military man left some sort of medal on the casket as it was being lowered into the groud. If anyone has this man's name or where I could find more info on this story, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

The journalist's name was Danny Cassalero. His death occured in the summer of 1991. (I recall the part where it was said that his family wasn't notified of his death until a few days after the fact.)

Hope this helps. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
