Yeah I know... I think they only are doing NY and LA for this. Past book signings that Gene Simmons has done were only in NY and LA.
Last December Gene Simmons (no Paul) was in NYC for this book and I decided not to go because:
a) I already met him at another book signing.
b) The book is pretty expensive - about $50.00
If Paul Stanley was with him in NY as well I probably would have gone but I chose not to that time 'round.

JamesG-- How did your meeting with Gene go at the other book signing?
While I am here--do you know how many cds the last KISS and Ace Frehley releases sold or how high they reached on Billboard?
thanks
David

JamesG-- How did your meeting with Gene go at the other book signing?
This was back in July 2008 for Gene Simmons' book Ladies of the Night at B&N on 5th Ave in NYC.
He was due to show up at 12:30pm but didn't arrive until 1pm. He arrived via underground passages so he came without coming in from outside and had a police officer with him.
He was very personable. He stood up as opposed to sitting behind a table and he took his time with everyone; posing for photos and brief talk.
He only signed the book so security was going crazy with telling people to put away their other items.
When I got to him I had to ask him if KISS will ever put out a new album and he put his hand on my shoulder and said, "You'll have to wait and see kid". Then a year later KISS put out "Sonic Boom".
Here are some photos:

Here's what I was able to find out:
KISS' new album "Sonic Boom" (as a Walmart only release) debuted at #2 on Billboard 200.
During its first week of release it sold 108,000 copies and as of December 2009 it has sold over 250,000 copies.
Ace Frehley's "Anomaly" debuted at #27 on Billboard 200 and during its first week of release sold approx. 17,000 copies.

Yeah, no problem on that.
Well I don't think Ace's album appealed to anyone outside of the loyal KISS fanbase; and not even all KISS fans like him and would buy it.
I was very pleased with it.
