Goodwill Ambassador, and the unofficial “Mrs. Pitt,” Angelina Jolie has reportedly reunited with her actor father, Jon Voight (“Friday Night Lights”) after seven long years of separation and silence. Jon Voight has talked to “Us Weekly,” telling the magazine that he and his daughter have reconciled. “We’re in touch, but not regularly,” he told the magazine. “We love each other and that’s the most important thing.”
Jolie, 34, stopped speaking to her father, age 70, in 2001 after he pleaded for her to seek medical help for her “serious mental problems,” live on television’s “Access Hollywood.” According to the magazine, Angelina made the initial contact in this round of their relationship; they met “face-to-face” back in February. According to a friend close to the Pitt-Jolie clan, Angelina and her father, Jon, have maintained communication since that time. It is also reported that Brad Pitt has been very supportive of Angelina’s reconciliation with her father, that he was a “key factor in her reaching out.” Angelina Jolie is the daughter of Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand.
