which sitcoms in history have had the best ensemble cast, in terms of on screen chemistry, shows that have casts that could not survive if any of the casts members left .
my picks:
Friends
Desinging Women- after delta left the show just wasn't the same because the chemistry was ruined.
Cybill
The Golden Girls

Laverne & Shirley. I mean, when Shirley and Lenny and Edna left, the show got really good ratings the first half of the season and then started to decline. Why did they decline? you may ask. Well, it just couldn't survive without three of its most important cast members.
------------------
Shirley: Well, Laverne is sort of childish
Laverne: Childish? Childish? Coming from a grown woman who throws tea parties for her stuffed cat?
Shirley: At least I don't sew L's on everything I wear!
Laverne: Well that would be pretty stupid considering your name's Shirley!
Michael: At what time was I born, Mother?
Mrs. Darling: Why, you were born at two o'clock in the nighttime, Dearest
Michael: Oh Mother, I hope I didn't wake you!

WKRP. The New WKRP wasn't all that successful, was it?

WKRP in Cincinnati was the one about the radio station and the folks that worked there. It was on from '78-'82, starred Loni Anderson, Howard Hesseman, etc. It's on TNN in the morning. Ringin' any bells for ya?

one of the best ensemble casts i have ever seen is, party of five. the cast had so much chemistry that it just radated from the screen, each actor could work off of the others stremghts and weaknesses. and aside from that it was just a brillant show. also, needless to say my so-called life had a wonderful ensemble.

Easy! - "Just Shoot Me" has the best ensemble cast. "Ally McBeal" has a great cast too. I sometimes think it would be better if Ally actually left and let the other characters go about their lives cos they are all more interesting than her.
