Guttenberg, Danson And Selleck Are Reuniting For Three Men And A Bride

Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg are reuniting for a new Three Men And A Baby sequel - nearly 20 years after the last installment.

The trio played bachelor pals forced to raise a baby together after she's left on their doorstep by desperate mum Nancy Travis in the 1987 original.

The reteamed three years later for the follow up, Three Men and a Little Lady.

Now, 19 years later, studio bosses at Disney are planning to reunite the trio for their movie daughter's wedding.

Breaking the news to WENN, an excited Guttenberg says, "Disney's developing Three Men and a Bride. That's going to be a smash. A smash hit. They're bringing everybody back for that.

“Nobody knows about it. I'm the first to talk about it.”

And Guttenberg's not settling for just one sequel - he wants to bring back all the franchises that helped him find fame in the 1980s.

He adds, "It's definitely time for another Police Academy. And I think they could make another Cocoon.

"They're surefire hits and I think they're good for the world. They make the world a better place and that's what it's all about."

how are they gonna do another sequel for Cocoon - aren't all the original actors from that dead by now - including Steve Gutenberg?

That's what CGI is for!! They don't need the actors!

God bless him - I also loved him as Henry on Punky Brewster, Frank Smith on General Hospital, and in the movie Tootsie. :D

Yup, he was the mobster who unintentionally got Luke and Laura together way back when.

Just as long as they hire the same people that wrote the tagline for Police Academy: Mission To Moscow-

"Kicking buttski. Making you laughski. The Academy is backski!"

I'd love to see another "Three Men" film. I loved the original, and I actually thought the sequel was better than the original.

That said, there should never, ever, ever be another "Cocoon" film. Don Ameche is gone, Gwen Verdon is gone, Hume Cronyn is gone, Jessica Tandy is gone, Maureen Stapleton is gone. Just don't go there. It's wrong! It wouldn't work without their star power. Don Ameche was such a shining star in both films. I think it's just a shame that he and Gwen Verdon never made a film together when they were younger - they were both soooooo wonderful!

Yeah I think that Three Men and a Little Lady is better than Three Men and a Baby too.

I loved the second one, and have always wondered if they would continue it. This is how good sequels are made, having the original cast members come back playing the same characters. I'm really anxious to see this! As for the other things Steve Guttenberg is proposing? Not so much.

Tom Selleck Confirms Three Men and a Bride in the Works
by Christopher Campbell
Jun 3rd 2010

Last fall, we heard from Steve Guttenberg that another Three Men and a ... movie is in the works, and it would reunite the actor with Ted Danson and Tom Selleck as the titular trio who suddenly found themselves parents to a little infant girl.

After the original, humongous hit, Three Men and a Baby, the guys regrouped for Three Men and a Little Lady, and now 20 years later, they may do Three Men and a Bride.

And Selleck is the next to address the idea. Talking with MTV News while promoting The Killers, he confirmed that Disney is indeed developing the project and had approached the mustached actor about reprising his role as architect Peter Mitchell.

He also admitted he's hopeful that the sequel will come to fruition:

"I hope it's a good script, and if it is a good script I hope they do it, because it would be really fun to get back with Ted and Steve," he told MTV News.

"The strongest of the two movies I think is the first one. It had more heart, and that's what I hope this third one would have if we do it."
