Do you (really) like The Middle ?

I love this show!!!!!!!! The Pilot wasn't so good but the second episode was much better than the pilot. Same Way it went for Hank.

The first (and only episode I've seen so far) was when the mom and dad wanted to go carpet shopping for their anniversary, but things kept holding them back. Having said that, I like it.

It reminds me of weird shows like Malcolm In The Middle with its style of humor (bizarre) and I don't particularly care for it.

It's sad -- Patricia Heaton and Kelsey Grammer were together in a well-written show (Back To You) that was starting to hit its creative stride towards the end of its one-season run and it was cancelled by the idiots at fox, while a stupid show like 'Til Death is still on the air.

And their new shows, like this one and Kelsey's Hank are, sorry to say it, not that great. Just average, run-of-the-mill kinda funny but not really sitcoms.

IMO, a comedown creatively for both these fine comic actors.:(

The Middle is a great show and deserves to get an Emmy nomination for best comedy. Unfortunately the awful Modern Family will probably take the nomination that should have gone to The Middle. :rolleyes:

I haven't seen Modern Family yet but I agree with you about The Middle. Patricia Heaton is great in it. The whole cast is pretty good.

I have to agree with Dr. Thong - ABC would have been better off just picking up Back to You - they could have had one decently rated show instead of one thats underperforming and one thats just cutting it.

But still, I've really been enjoying The Middle. I'd consider it ABC's 2nd best comedy, right after Cougar Town. Unfortunately, it's not Patricia I like. The children are what make this show.

I agree Modern Family will win(i don't think it is awful ,i like it ),but i like the Middle a lot more,can't really get into Cougartown ,not impressed about a show with a women my age acting like a sl*T.I have no problem with 40 plus women dating younger men,i have have always been attracted to older women myself,but the whole cougar thing is getting tired,

I think it is kind of Malcolm in the Middle meets Corner Gas,and it is really good.i don't watch a lot of new shows,mostly just watch sports,but i look forward to this one

I love "The Middle"

I think it has a unique style of humor unlike any other current show and it also mixes in a lot of heart. I don't quite like it as much as "Modern Family" but I look forward to seeing it every week and I think the entire cast is great
