I've been thinking about this and I'm gonna post it cause I don't know what to think of it...

Work has been slow as I have been home most of the time so I got a call and it was from my work...

I answered and the person on the other line asked, 'Is Andrea there?'

'I told her yeah, this is Andrea.'

'Oh, I'm sorry, I got the wrong Andrea.'

'I said okay as she apologized then we hung up.'

The thing is, I don't know if there is another Andrea working there but she could have said Adrianne and said it fast to where it sounded like Andrea.

But it was from my work and I didn't recognize the voice.

Is there a name that sounds like Andrea, can you guys think of any?

Well being that my name is Andrea (I pronounce it "On-dre-ah"), I get this all the time. People on the phone call me all sorts of things. I guess I don't speak clearly enough or they can't hear. I've been called "On-dray-ah", "Ann-dree-ah", "LAUND-re-ah", "Audre-ah", "Claudia", you name it, I've been called it. We have to answer the phone at work with our name, so it's funny when people can't say my name right, after I've already said it once!

Could be a simple wrong number, or they were looking for another person named Andrea.

Yeah but the caller ID said Old Navy and that is where I work.. Even the area code is the same as the area code where I work..

EDIT: I couldn't stand it anymore so I called the number...

It is my work place...

*69 and call them back, say you are returning a call for Andrea, when they find the guy who called and put him on, say "Sorry, wrong number." and hang up.

then repeat that once every hour for about a week.

Re-read my post... It was a woman who didn't sound like a manager...

I don't want to do that...

I'm over it though.. I just needed to vent. :)
