she asked me after the meal-"can I have desert too???
HUH?? Now she should have known that I was supposed to ask that question not her. See what happpens when you try and help someone who had no food and was having money problems??

That was a very thoughtful thing you did for your friend. I wouldn't let her lack of manners get in the way of doing favors for people in the future. Did she at least thank you for your generosity?

yeah she did. I guess when i hear someone has a lack of food i want to help out. The desert question was very unexpected-lol

You could help me out :( My meal card just ran out, and it was because I was eating abstinent healthy food and three meals a day this whole time and not living off of amp and ice cream like my classmates. I don't take dessert because I have an ED that would get triggered by that.

At least she was thankful. I do think it was a bit rude of her to ask about dessert. But if she still needs help in the future still help her. You are a good friend.
