Does anyone know what the side effects of the flu nasal vaccine are?

I was given (forced) the flu nasal vaccine yesterday and today my back is really hurting. Also I seem to be overheating. I don't know if my back hurts because I picked up my cat Romeo who weighs 16 pounds. I picked him up yesterday. He sometimes likes to be held over the shoulder like a baby, lol. It could be a combination of that and the vaccine?

Thanks.

The most common side effects are headache, runny nose, cough, sore throat. Muscle aches are a less common one. My daughters got the FluMist, the youngest has had a runny nose since she got it.

Hope your back feels better soon.

If this is the flu... I'd rather take a shot..

If this is the H1N1 vaccine, um.. I'd rather not take it at all.

I know it's really none of my business, but how can your mom make you take it when you're an adult? My father, who is a nurse, suggested I get one, but there is no way either of my parents would force it on me.

Probably talking to FTF but I'm going to answer this too since I got the same problem.

For me, it's just to shut my mom up and make her leave me alone..

I do have to go see the ear doctor on Monday to clean out some wax and I know she will be pressuring me to take the flu shot.

She did it last year.

But don't know what to tell her about the H1N1 vaccine though, I really don't want to take it but she can easily say, 'you wanna die' comment then of course I say no..

Thanks. Well, my back is still hurting.

I'd rather not go into details specifically how she forced me. It wasn't pretty. My mother is a nurse.

Anyway, the different symptoms I'm having (whether it's the flu nasal vaccine related or not) I hope it goes away soon.

Waterston fan, I know how that is. My mother pressures me into things.

I'll have to take it nasally. Since I have autism, my mom would rather let me have the swine flu rather than get injected by Mercury-laden syringes.

Does it have mercury...the H1N1 vaccine?

If so...I may be at home a couple of days.

The spray vaccine is live H1N1 virus, while the shot is dead virus, so you could be just having some flu symptoms until your defenses kick in. Then again, you could be having an adverse reaction to the vaccine, and should see a doctor if it persists.

Btw, if you mom is a nurse, why don't you tell her about your symptoms?.

I let my mother know. She's not very sympathetic. I think her work has been shtressful lately. She doesn't want to hear about my complaints.
