I get USA ( the cable network) and was wondering if you had a choice what shows would u put on usam or Laughternoon ? remember they must be short lived, but decent shows!! my choices would be-
It's like you know ( abc-1998-2000)
cybill (cbs-1994-1998)
partners (fox-1996-1997?)
ask harritte ( fox- 1997?)
Hermens Head - ( fox- 1987?-1992?)

As long as they keep Hearts Afire, I don't care what they put!
I wish they would show Hooperman (ABC, 1987-1989)

i agree hearts a fire is a great show... and it had pretty decent ratings to.. i often wonder why networks cancle shows with decent ratings.. other examples of this are, Something so right, Caroline in the city, cybill, sports night and for your love ( when nbc canned it in 1998.)

The only show I watch on USAM/laughternoon is Wings. I wish they'd go back to 2 or 4 episodes a day.

I agree, Hooperman would be good pavanbadal. I also wish they'd show George and Leo--a great show CBS canceled way too early.

The criteria USA has for their USAM/Laughternoon is that the shows have to have lasted 2 seasons. So shows like George and Leo that didn't get a 2nd season wouldn't get on the schedule. But that doesn't mean Bob Newhart fans can't hope to see a short-lived show starring him from the '90's. His post-Newhart show Bob, where he played a comic-book illustrator, lasted from 1992-94.

It's Like You know ( abc, midseason, 1999-2000). It did have two seasons, so copuldn't be on usam or laughternoon, but still it was a great show that should have lasted longer.

Now USA doesn't even really have a USAM anymore. But they air two sitcoms back-to-back every morning, "Veronica's Closet" and "Living Single." I'm just so happy they kept "Veronica's Closet!" :happyface :happyface :happyface

Why did USA have to drop their USAM/Laughternoon lineup? All they seem to show during the day now is pathetic made-for-TV movies and Walker, Texas Ranger. Yuck! Bring back Wings!!!

It was a half hour police dramedie starring John Ritter. It was kind of like a cross between Hill Street Blues and Barney Miller.
