View Full Version : Is anyone else sick to death of Jon & Kate Gosselin?!

Personally, I think they're both jerks and I am so sick of seeing them in the news all the freaking time. I mean, very valuable entertainment time they could use talking about INTERESTING things like music, movies and who has a new product coming out and we get stuck with all this Jon and Kate CRAP!! I think the news people would rather waste time on braindead baffoons like the Gosselins and Octomom so they won't have to do anything meaningful about what's going on in the world. Really, what the heck is so important about these stupid people?! They exploit their kids, exploit themselves. Is anyone else sick of these morons?!

I'm getting sick of both of them myself. Their kids deserve to have a normal life, which they're not getting thanks to the newsmagazines out there.

I am definitely sick of them. And it's sad that it's the kids who have to pay the price for their parents egos.

I stopped watching in May when the breakdown started to play. I did enjoy the series till then and am sorry that "real life" has taken over this couple's life. I don't begrudge them the millions they have because this helped them financially to support the children. I wish them well.

YES!!!!

Of course, the only people they're really hurting here with their behavior are their poor, innocent children. They're the only ones I truly feel sorry for.

I think John and Kate are actually the real-life versions of Ray and Debra Barone

YES!
i can't believe a show that run on an obscure cable channel is getting so much publicity.
Shows like this are driving Soap Operas off the air and i can't understand it
I try to ignore magazines at the cash registers because its mostly Jon & Kate on the covers
yes i do realize if Jon & Kate didn't sell magazines they wouldn't be on the covers

I enjoyed Cable TV much more before the glut of reality shows and infomercials

I can't believe that anyone cares about these people; there is nothing special about them beyond the fact that they have 8 kids, and even that isn't that special. Dogs and cats regularly have litters and no one gives them a reality show.

Their house is not too far away from me, they're kind of the local "celebrities." Apparently Jon Gosselin hit on one of my friends at a bar recently (she told me "The guy has to pay child support for 8 kids -- I DON'T THINK SO!") So no, I don't really get tired of this. I love watching the three-ring-circus. It's so stupid, but I'm amused by the whole thing.

I just had to share this. I've never, ever been a fan of the show (I think I've seen 1 episode in my entire life) but they are local to me so I guess I hear more than the rest of America... anyways, I had a dream last night that Jon wanted to stop the divorce because... Kate was pregnant with twins! How crazy would that be?

Let's hope it never comes true.

 Here, here!

Anyways, in central Pennsylvania, Jon is pretty much the town joke. Kate has been known to be something of a b*tch, but the sympathy is totally with her since Jon's started hitting the singles bars. He looks so stupid trying to pick up 29-year-olds when everyone knows he's got alimony and 8 children to support. ohno: Won't happen. Personally, I kind of hope he wakes up and realizes just how much he's walked away from.

I think the entire Gosselin clan has enjoyed their 15 minutes of fame.

Now it's time to say goodbye.

Bye Jon, bye Kate, bye...um..what are the kids names again? Is one of them Kaitlyn? Probably, right?
Eh, whatever.

Cara, Mady, Joel, Aaden, Collin, Alexis, Leah & Hannah

I'm still trying to memorize some words for my French quiz tomorrow but I have no trouble remembering the names of the Gosselin kids, oh well.

I remember back when the show started how everybody defended Jon because Kate treated him badly...things sure do change quickly

I think this is all crap! But what I don't get is that Kate, from what I've seen, has been known to verbally abuse Jon regularily on the show. If it were in reverse and it was Jon talking that way to Kate and she was the one taking it, TLC would be flooded with angry emails and letters from feminists and they'd even hold feminist rallies and NOW would be all over their case! I think it's a double standard. No one should talk to their spouse that way, eight kids or not! And, sure he's getting out there and trying to meet girls. He had to take Kate's crap for years and he's finally away from her abuse. And if anything, he's a better parent than Kate, because Kate is so busy pimping her innocent children for all the world to mock, while Jon wants to stop it from happening. I think we just live in an anti-male world where women are the ones who are seen as actual human beings and men are just disposable sperm doners. Whatever happened to EQUALITY BETWEEN THE SEXES?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I feel the same way, Brownie. That's actually one of the reasons why I stopped watching Everybody Loves Raymond. Debra was such a bitch to Ray, even kicking him on one occasion. If it had been the other way around, that show would have been off the air.

That's why I eventually stopped watching it. I liked the first few seasons but it got WAY too mean-spirited as time went on.

I just think that those kids have had more than enough drama in their lives already. It's time to turn off the cameras and let those kids be kids.

I agree with the above posters. I think women mistreating their husbands is too widly accepted by society. Meanwhile, men even looking at their wives the wrong way warrants discussion and is even considered abuse. I think anyone who mistreats their spouse - man or woman - should be penalized. It's wrong and it is domestic abuse. I'm a woman and Kate makes me sick. And she plays the victim SOOOO WELL!!!

I think the show should end already. I agree with others Kate seems to be the abusive type. Sure she never hit Jon or anything but she abused verbally and several people have backed up Jon. Last week Jon did several interviews with ET and it seems he really wants to let his kids be kids and he has said the main reason Kate wants to continue the show is for money purposes.

oh well of course she does i mean what else is going to pay for that big house that they have  and a another thing that kinda bothers me is that they are going to court to talk about child support payments well i'm thinking why,why does she need that for i mean she has the show money isn't that a enough for her? i don't know i keep trying to stand up for them but in the end....i'm with jon! sorry kate

I am with you adn I do not understand why so many interviewers let Kate off the hook (Meredith Viera, the whole gang at the The View) with softball questions and don't follow up with hard questions. It is OBVIOUS the show is hurting the kids, Kate admitted as much this morning in a leak from the TLC interview. But no one EVER days, "So Kate? WHY DO YOU INSIST ON CONTINUING THE SHOW?" Like there is no other way to earn a living except being on TV. Lisa Ling tried to ask but was blown off.

Kate, lots of familes live in modest houses - you could, too.

The kids actually love being on the reality show and when Kate told them on the way home from school in 2009 that filming had stopped they were upset. If Kate didn't do a job with television, then she would be off working as a nurse, her kids would be in daycare and she would not get to spend time with them.Maybe if Kate felt like the show was messing her children's lives up by being filmed then maybe she would do series without them and the kids would never be filmed. If you saw Kate Plus 8 sixth birthday surpriise, you would have seen how happy the kids were to get a surprise visit from the film crew. Kate loves her kids and wants whats best for them. She is a good mother and she is better off without Jon on the show because now she is not verbally abusive on the show.I can't wait for July 11,2010 when they have 2 more episodes of Kate Plus 8.
