Anyone who's worked shoveling **** at a circus can tell you that making entertainment isn't as much fun as watching it.

The same goes for TV shows, and in some cases, it's even worse than the elephant **** thing. There are shows you loved and grew up with that, behind the scenes, were a constant, dark carnival of torment.

What happened to Different Strokes, One Day at a time, and What's Happening?

Thanks for the links.

The only two, with problems, that I wasn't aware of were Webster and ALF.

What about Three's Company?

This article is sad ut funny at the same time!

I'm laughing at what happened w/ Grace Under Fire! WOW!

I totally lost respect for Kirk Cameron on a number of levels for what he did. It's one thing to be a devout Christian but it's another to alienate everyone around him. And I find it funny how he reunited w/ his GP cast members a few times, given the way he alienated them during his time on GP.

And what was traumatizing about Webster, other than the tensions that happened in the 1st season of the show?

I never knew Emmanuel Lewis was credited as a producer on Webster. Nor did I know that it was originally a very different show until ABC parachuted in Emmanuel Lewis in their desperation to compete with Diff'rent Strokes. I'm surprised Susan Clark and Alex Karras never made a bigger fuss about the network's interference with their show.

Diff'rent Strokes I was sure would've been at the top of this list.

As for The Price is Right, I def. can feel the pain of everyone that had to put up w/ The Barker's egomaniacal problems.

Ask Dian, Holly, Janice, Kathleen, even other models such as Nikki Ziering and Claudia Jordan, and also production assistants Linda Riegert, Sharon Friem, Sherell Paris, and Deborah Curling.

And the sad part of this was not long before Rod Roddy died one of his agents asked Barker for the same pay as the models and when Barker reniged, goodbye rod's on-camera time (save for the closing credits).

He may be a good game show on camera, but Barker is anything but a good person in real life off-camera.

I disagree with the article's liberal slant to the Kirk Cameron segment. It said "But Behind The Scenes... Teen heartthrob Kirk Cameron learns to love Jesus and finds sin in all of his costars." Why is that a bad thing?

Why would it be on the list from what you read and hear on interviews everyone had a good time and got along the show.
