I loved it! Interesting characters, GREAT animation! One thing that made this show MUCH better than the superfriends is that they gave the superheroes some personalities. Batman is a loner. The Flash is a slick, smart alec. I loved it! What did you all think?

My cable company recently started showing the cartoon network. The Justice League is the only cartoon I watch regularly. Last night's episode featured Aquaman. There was a scene where Aquaman cut off part of his arm to save his son. This Justice League sure is not the Superman-Aquaman hour of Adventure from the '60's.

Plus it doesn't have goofy characters like the Wonder Twins.

You never know Brian...

After all, Justice League has done a fine job of "reinventing" the "Superfriends" characters (The recent episodes featuring a longhaired Auquaman were pretty good) perhaps they just might bring in a revamped Zan and Jaina.

But please, for the love of God, leave that friggin monkey out of it!

That's right Gleek! You suck! Yeah, I'm talking about you!

I did not watch the Superfriends much, actually hardly would be more accurate as I was in high school at the time and was in to other things.

Anyway, yesterday's episode of the Justice League, "Injustice for All", had a battle scene inside the Metropolis Picture Store. In this paricular scene, the Shade blinds Hawkgirl and she crashes into two giant dolls. Were the giant dolls the Wonder Twins? Or were they some other cartoon characters from the past?

Is it just me, or is J'onn J'onzz(aka-Martian Manhunter) turning out to be a weak character?
He's got all these cool powers, but he's constantly getting cremated by the villains.

Also, while I'm complaining here, I think they need to do more with my favorite D.C. hero, The Green Lantern. (preferably, Hal Jordan)
Showcase his abilities and powers some more, and give him something to extract that log out of his a$$ so he can loosen up. geez!
[/end rant]

Ya know, I think you're right. I do remember that bit. Good call.

I have to agree with you ONE Man Gang, the Martian Manhunter does seem to be a weak character.

I seem to remember that he had superpowers similar to Superman. Or at least that is what I remember from the comic books of the late sixties.

What I like about this series is seeing the DC comic book characters come to life (so to speak). And I am not only talking about the heroes who make up the league, but the other characters such as Metamorpho, Aquaman, Dr. Fate, the Blackhawks, Sgt. Rock, and a host of others. (I cannot remember the episode, but Mr. Miracle was in the background).
Last night I watched my tape of "Hereafter" again. It is interesting how they work in the other DC Characters into the dialog. Vandal Savage tells Superman to stop his past self from stealing a device which he used to destroy civilization from a scientist named Ray Palmer. Ray Palmer was the Atom. Incidentially, the Atom was one of guest stars on the Superman-Aquaman hour of Adventure from '67-68 I believe. (This is not to be confused with the Superfriends of the 1970's.

Forgive me for all his fans but I might offend almost all of the fans but would you believe that my least favorite character in the JL is Batman!! I know he is supposed to be like a viglante but he is too cold and too grim. Liked him on the Super Friends and just don't like him being too dark and too much a loner!! Sorry but that is my honest opinion!!

Yeah, Batman is a bit cranky in "Justice League" compared with previous Batmans cartoons.
I read yesterday there is supposed to be yet another Batman animated series coming this Fall. I wonder how he'll be in the new series?

There is a mention of the new Batman cartoon in the newest TV Guide. It is supposed to be about Batman in his twenties and his first encounter with villans such as the Joker.
