I wrote a pilot for a show called Problems for Nancy.Guess what? NBC has picked up 10 episodes for THIS SUMMER.Ok its not as good as Fall but maybe this show isn't ready for the big time. They told me that it may run during Thursday Which means the show has to be alot better than the pilot. When I wrote the pilot I was just doing it for fun to see if NBC would pick it up.I was suprised when I got an E-mail from NBC.The show stars Amie Hoey as Nancy Blind Marshall a newlywed who lives with her parents, her Friends John and Sir Elton Parks along with her husband David. They talk about things and encounter their "Inner Child".In the Pilot Nancy has a fight with her husband(Played by local Talk Show host and Amie Hoeys real life husband Chris Hoey)over suing Macys.I hope it lasts.Watch for it.It will air I think at the dreaded 8:30 Thursday slot.PLEASE REPLY.

I hope it lasts, too. If your show is a good quality show in that time-slot, it will last for a while. It's not the 8:30 Thursday slot that is dreaded. It's the mostly mediocre sitcoms that have occupied that slot since 1995 that are dreaded. You can look at it this way: With this show, you can provide NBC's Thursday night line-up with the strong link between 8:30 and 9:00 that has been missing for a long time.

Congrats Sitcomwriter. I have a quick question though if you don't mind. How did NBC pick up your comedy? Are you an experienced sitcom writer? I e-mailed them asking them about one of my friends who wanted to write one and they said they would just throw the idea away unless it came from an agent associated with the Screen Actors Guild. Just wondering. I'll be watching for your show this summer--good luck with it!

This seems a little hard to believe....I would suspect that NBC would pick up a sitcom of an experienced writer...instead of you.
