Why would anyone want to put egg shells in coffee? That just sounds weird. I was watching an episode of Bob Newhart. It was a Thanksgiving episode. One of the characters remarked "A home without a bun sheet is like coffee without egg shells." That didn't make sense. Do people actually put egg shells in coffee? I've never heard of anyone doing that.

I'm pretty sure my Mom used to put eggshells in the coffee back in the day but I never knew why until I read Tara's post!
