which show did you prefer the most out of good times from the 70s and the cosby show from the 80s?
my vote would go out to good times- i prefer the characters, writing and humour on that show. the cosby show i thought was too, i don't know, i cannot put my finger on it yet- i didn't connect with it in the same way as i do with good times.

definitely The Cosby Show, one episode of Good Times was enough for me

No contest here. Good Times, in a landslide.
I don't think I ever really watched more than one or two episodes of Cosby; it just struck me as being smug and antiseptic somehow. I enjoyed all the Good Times characters as they seemed to be people that COULD exist, and the whole setting and theme were ones I could relate to a lot more.

to be frank, i just couldn't relate to the huxtables in a way that i could with the evans family. i also thought the cosby show wasn't that entirely funny either. i remembered when channel 4 showed the cosby show in the uk during the 80s- it was one of the most talked about shows at the time. i watched 2 episodes and afterwards felt it wasn't for me. we never got to see good times in britain, as it was never shown on TV.
personally, and this is probably just me speaking, but JJ evans was funnier than cliff huxtable as the main show's comic relief.
