I got this from the TV Guide.
‘Til Death
Returns 10/2, 8:30/7:30c, FOX
Where we left off With a case of sitcomus interruptus. The third season went on hiatus last October, leaving a fistful of unaired episodes in programming limbo.
What’s Next A move to Friday nights will give those orphaned episodes a new home, but the move has co-star Joely Fisher a bit concerned about viewers getting lost in the time-slot shuffle. “In a perfect world, [the unaired episodes] would have aired in the summer and we would start fresh in the fall,” she says, “but you know, that’s not my job. It’s frustrating because we want our audience to know where to find us…but it would probably be more frustrating to not be on the air at all.”
Who’s New Lindsey Broad from the Web series “The Burg” replaces Laura Clery (who herself replaced Krysten Ritter) as the Starks’ daughter, Allison, and Timm Sharp returns as Allison’s now-husband, Doug.
These are the days? “Our goal is to have an All in the Family feel, “Fisher says. To that end, Allison and Doug will end up moving very near Eddie (Brad Garrett) and Joy (Fisher). Let the Meathead jokes begin!
**And now for my comments**
Okay, I'm a fan of this show, but nothing in this article sounds good. First of all, I wish Krysten Ritter was still on the show. I loved her as Allison. I haven't seen the second Allison and now there's a THIRD Allison.
I wonder if Kenny (JB Smoove) is still on the show. He's not mentioned anywhere, and the picture in the TV Guide was of Eddie, Joy and Doug. Which means that the producers loved the Kenny character so much, they got rid of the Woodcocks and the next season ditch Kenny!
Again, I like this show, but so many format changes is never a good thing.
It's nice Joely's concerned about the fans finding the show. I wonder if she ever gets online and reads people's comments, lol. She'd be depressed. It's funny, she mentioned “In a perfect world, [the unaired episodes] would have aired in the summer and we would start fresh in the fall.” I find it funny because in a "perfect world" there wouldn't have been any unaired episodes in the first place. The show would be high rated, lol.
In my mind the show will probably end this season. I'll buy all the seasons on DVD and have my little show. I'm 95 percent sure that the best episodes of the show will come from seasons one and two. But, of course, I'll give season four a chance. Who knows, it may be just as good as those early years.
