What week does the new shows start to air? Is it the week of 9/14? Asking because I want to buy a TV guide Fall Preview so I can see what shows I may want to check out.
Any New Work Place Comedies?
Any New Comedies featuring Singles?

The Fall Preview TV Guide is out now. I got mine on Wednesday. I think the official start of the season is on September 21st although some shows do premiere earlier.

and it also has some pictures of some of the fall shows on the cover like Cougar Town and Hank and Jay Leno. It's really the only TV Guide that's worth anything anymore.

Well they usually have a part 1 and 2 version of the Fall Preview. Is that the case this year?

I won't know until next week. Part 2 is usually the one that previews the returning shows.

Yeah, the TV Guide Fall Preview Edition was just new shows. They had schedules with the old shows on them, but nothing in depth.

Check out Community on NBC (Work Place Comedy)
Check out Accidentally on Purpose (Singles comedy)

I've seen two Comedy pilots so far, and here's my take:
Community (C-)
Made available on Facebook through NBC.COM, I didn't have my hopes up going into it, and only intended on watching for Chevy Chase. Surprisingly, he wasn't the one to make me laugh. Danny Pudi plays 'Abed,' someone who quite can't separate what he sees on screen from real-life situations. For NBC, it won't take much for it to be considered a hit.
Modern Family (B+)
Surprisingly, I stumbled across a link to the pilot through Twitter.
This show scares me. Why? It's so realistic, and maybe even a little too real! If it goes as planned, it'll be the next breakout comedy for ABC, but it needs to tone it down.
I've never been a fan of The Office, but I understood it's appeal. While it also is a single-camera docu-comedy, the show has it's moments that make you realize that you're still watching television, and aren't actually getting a glimpse at a real office/company.
In Modern Family's case, there is no ONE breakout star. Each and every member of the cast shines in the first episode. I just hope the series creators Christopher Lloyd and Steve Levitan are able to pull back a bit and give us a tv family, rather than the one that seems all too real!
Unlike Community, Modern Family is on my must-watch list for the fall 2009 season.

I had the pleasure of watching the Modern Family pilot through ABC's Inner Circle yesterday evening . . . WOW! My expectations were high for this show, and it reached heights of hilariosity I never thought an ABC comedy would. If you thought the promos were great, then you have to watch this pilot. If their other 3 comedies could be this great, then ABC is going to be in for a very strong season. I'd give it an easy A.
I can't wait to watch the Flash Forward pilot next Sunday!

Is it being released early just as "Modern" was? Any other pilots online yet?

There were showings of the MF pilot on ABC Inner Circle last night. I watched it right at 9pm, after BB. I think Flashforward is one showing next Sunday at 7pm, but you have to be a member of the ABC Inner Circle. It's quite unique - a friend led me to it, and I love how they do these preseason showings.

I completly agree with you on modern family. I saw it about 3 or so days ago, and i loved it. After the 2nd act break i knew that this show in no dobt would get a full season order, and will be on for a long time. And with most ABC comedies they are dry and no good, but with recent shows like Better Off Ted, Surviving Surburbia, the goode family, and know modern family i think ABC knows a sucuessfull show within story line. not that they evar know how to scdule and market a sitcom, but the story lines where superb, and i for one love it. I give Modern Family an A!! NO questions about it.

Not sure - I suppose you can register at ABC Inner Circle and give it a try. I usually get emails about these things 2 or 3 weeks in advance. If you register now, I bet you'll be able to make it for the FF showing on Sunday.
