aaaahh... sorry.. couldn't remember worth a granite of bedrock. Here's the lyrics though, that I found searching.

"Flintstones, Meet the Flintstones
They're a modern stone age family
From the, town of Bedrock
They're a page right out of history
Let's ride, with the family down the street
Through the, courtesy of Fred's two feet
When you're, with the Flintstones
Have a yabba, dabba, doo time
A dabba doo time
We'll have a gay, old time!"

Interesting if you go back and watch the eppies on Cartoon
Network the first season or so has an entirely different opening
and theme from the more famous and familiar one.In the original
opening Fred is seen driving through Bedrock on his way home
and there are NO lyrics to the theme it is instrumental.

Yes, the first two seasons of "The Flintstones" used a big-band instrumental called "Rise and Shine". For the 1962-63 season on, the more familiar "Meet the Flintstones" was used. When the show went into syndication in the late '60's, the original opening credits for the first two seasons were replaced with "Meet The Flintstones" theme (for years you could tell the difference; for the earlier episodes the newer theme was shortened; for the later shows the theme was played in its entirety.)

By the way, here are the lyrics to the closing of the Flintstones:

Flintstones
Meet the Flintstones
They're a modern stone-age
family
Frome the
town of
Bedrock
They're a page
right out of
History
Someday
Fred is going to
win that fight,
And that
cat
will stay out for
the night,
When you're
with the
Flintstones,
Have a yabba
dabba doo time
a dabba doo
time
you'll have a
GAY OLD TIME

YOU'LL HAVE A
GAY OLD TIME
(spoken)

WIILLLMAAAA!!
