'Reno 911!' canceled

Comedy Central confirms that it has pulled the plug on Reno 911! Star/co-creator Thomas Lennon broke the news that the show’s recently wrapped sixth season will be its last on his Twitter feed saying, “Reno 911! was cancelled at 1:30 pm today. Won’t be wearing the shorts again.” When contacted by EW today, Comedy Central declined to comment.

At it's best Reno 911! was freaking hilarious. The last season (which had some cast changes) wasn't on par with the other seasons. However, the new cast members were growing on me. It's probably best that they just stop now, though I wished they could have had a series finale. The final episode was the one season finale where they didn't do a big stunt/cliffhanger ending.

Goodbye, Deputies of the Reno Sheriff's Department.
