I only remember the theme song but.......

I'm trying to remember the name of a T.V. series which would have been on probably in the 80's. I can't really remember anything about it except that the theme song was "Happy Together". I remember that there was a family, maybe with a baby and the younger son was in love with the babysitter. Does anyone else remember this show?

You are thinking of the 1987-1988 Family Ties spinoff DAY BY DAY which featuered, julia Louie Dryfuss, Courtney Thorne- SMith ( as the babysitter) and a pre- Brady Bunch movie Christopher Danile-Barnes as the son. It focused on the parents that ran a day care center in their home and Thorne-Smith worked in the center. hope this helps you!

Just a couple of corrections. The theme song was called "Day By Day" sung by Clydine Jackson. It ran from 1988-1989 and it was not a spinoff of Family Ties although there was a cross-over episode where Steven and Andrew Keaton appeared on Day By Day at the day care center.

The Brady Bunch parody episode was hilarious! I'm sure Christopher Daniel Barnes role on that episode had a lot to do with him getting the part in the movies.
