One of the local weather people here in New York says that we can look forward to having a very hot and humid fall and winter this year. In other words, leave the air conditioners uncovered, leave the pools open and don't put away the summer clothes just yet! He says we could very possibly have tempuratures reaching the mid to upper 80s, maybe even the 90s by December. The reason has alot to do with the unseasonably cool weather we've had this summer. This really sucks! For almost ten years now we hardly had any fall and barely a winter, with tempuratures mainly between the 60s and the 70s. Now, this year, we may have tempuratures in the 80s and maybe the 90s. Sorry, to me, the holiday season just doesn't feel right in scorching hot weather and I am SICK of summer already! We had nice weather this past Saturday. Enough with the humidity crap already! I'm ready for some cool for a change!

Uh...90 in December? Erm, I don't believe it. But I would love to see warmer weather through the fall and into winter. Some of us love it but can't up and move to Miami.

I guess even after all these years and technology, weather is still not an exact science!!

I don't mind it being freezing cold and rain and all that (in other words the usual winter weather around here), but I don't want to see ANY snow! Our 14 + inches last year was MORE than enough to last me for a LONG time!

I agree about snow. I don't mind snow around Christmastime, but after a while, it gets to me. But I love the krispy feel to the air during fall and the chill to the air during winter. I don't really mind the 50/60 degree weather during the fall and winter in all honesty, just as long as it doesn't go beyond 60 and head into the 70s, or 80s. But this bozo weatherman was saying that we can expect to see 90 and above by Christmas. Well, he is a bit of a moron, so I don't believe him. I just can't wait for summer to end and we start seeing cooler weather.

That's great news! Hopefully it can spread all the way to Ohio! I do not like driving in snow, and last January 28 I was getting onto I-675 en route to work after a snowfall, and a truck was in the rightmost lane and could easily have hit me! The story does have a happy ending: I made it to work with like two minutes to spare.
One thing is certain: American needs to befriend, not fear, global warming.
OH Nuts!

I hope that's true because maybe my dad can finish his asphalt projects.
Usually in August, he gets far behind.

It's now referred to as "climate change" because data is showing that the slight warming peaked in 1998. There is now a slight cooling period so I guess the environmentalist extremists will now be shouting "ice age!"

Another couple of weather people just said on the news that we could be in for one of the most abnormally hot and humid falls and winters on record this year, so don't close up the air conditioners, or put away the summer wardrobe just yet. Once again, temps could possibly reach the 80s, 90s maybe even 100. So, in other words, we might be sweating bullets while Christmas shopping this year. GOD I HATE SUMMER!!!!!

I wouldn't mind seeing the warmer weather stick around for a few months, as long as it's not humid. I can't stand the cold and snow and our winters can be brutal.

They say it's supposed to be crazy humid with temps possibly reaching 100 all the way until the middle of January.

^Any links about this?

I don't have a link, but more weather people have said that we might not have too many cool days in the coming months. The same old song-and-dance, "Temperatures between 80 and 90 degrees, so leave those air conditioners uncovered!"
