Over ten years ago VH1 started their hit show, Divas Live, as an event to feature the most legendary female artists of the time. The original show included divas like Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey.

This year, after a four year break, VH1 is bringing back Divas Live with some unusual picks.

They have revealed Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, and Adele as their top Diva picks for 2009.

VH1’s Divas Live will take place on September 17, 2009 at 9/8C.

The word Diva is being used too loosley these days.

I thought the word Diva was meant for powerful singers such as Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Aretha, Whitney and some others.

The gals they're picking now are too young for such a powerful word.

They are talented but they're too young. I do like Miley's new song. She sings it beautifully and I know she'll be getting some Grammy's for it.
