You'd never think Googling yourself would end in marriage, but that's pretty much what happened to Kelly Hildebrandt and ... Kelly Hildebrandt, a couple who met when one of them searched her own name on Facebook.

"Girl" Kelly was at home in Coral Springs, Fla., with nothing to do so she decided to search her own name on Facebook and came up with one result -- "Boy" Kelly, who was living in Lubbock, Texas. Girl Kelly liked what she saw and sent him a little message. Boy Kelly also thought she was cute and the two began flirting online.

Boy Kelly eventually flew out to Florida to meet his dream girl. After a few months Boy Kelly asked for a transfer to Coral Springs, and the two will marry a scant eight months after meeting.

Girl Kelly's father is psyched that his daughter will get to carry on the family name. And don't worry -- after extensive research, "The Kellys" are excited to discover that they aren't distantly related. We can't think of anything more romantic than that.

Awesome story. The Christian singer, Steven Curtis Chapman, happened to meet a Mary Beth Chapman (no relation) when they were in college and kept getting each other's mail. They met, fell in love and are still married over 25 years later. :D

If a woman marries somebody with the same last name as her, she dosent have to worry about changing her name.

Awwww! That is too cool! :D

Makes me think of my paternal grandparents... My grandma's maiden name was the same as my grandpa's, but with a few more letters at the end of it. When she married him, she just dropped the extra letters that were at the end of her last name. So it's like she never actually changed her last name completely.

I didn't know that about him. That's cool.

As for this news story, I think it's neat. It must be weird the first time they introduce themselves, though! LOL

I did a facebook search for people with my name and a few came up.

No girls. Two guys.

Although one of the guys is from France and looks kinda cute..

I saw Kelly and Kelly on CNN this morning and they are such a cute couple! The story about the cruise line almost deleting one of their tickets is hilarious! Mail mix up was mentioned and I wondered about this too. What if he orders something for his wife and has it addressed to himself so that she won't find out ahead of time? That could be a problem? When I first saw this story, I thought it was a little ridiculous (meaning when I first saw the title of this thread), but it's very sweet and romantic. A nice change of pace from the other crap that goes on in this world.

I saw about that story on the news. That's pretty cool, but weird too. I have searched me full name (with exact spelling) on facebook and I'm proud to say that I'm the only one who comes up. I'm unique! There may be others with the same name but spelled differently though.

I'm the only one with my name there, too. I am unique. :D

I wondered about the mail mix up too. Maybe they will have to use their middle names when it comes to ordering stuff to avoid mixups.

Yeah, I also wondered about the mail. Hopefully all the mail will say "Mr" and "Mrs".

There was a short-lived show in 1998 with Shelley Long and Robert Hays entitled Kelly Kelly. Thos story reminded me of that series. How ironic.
