How can I delete my Facebook account? Anyone know? I tried to delete it earlier today. I don't ever use Facebook. It's too difficult for me to use. I don't like the idea of having an account and not using it. Thanks.

You cannot 'delete' it. You can disable it, however. Go to Settings --> Deactivate Account --> and follow from there. It's almost like deleting it.

You will be able to re-activate your account at anytime, which I think is a good idea incase you ever want to come back.

I hate Facebook. No offense to anyone, but I don't need a running ticker on anyone's every move. Half the time, I don't even care what I'm doing, much less anyone else. I don't like how it has access to my e-mail Address book either, and the password to my AOL account. I couldn't believe I have to provide that information. Sitcoms Online is all I need for online social activity.

I did! A few jaws dropped when I signed up. I signed up because I was hoping to reconnect with people that I went to high and college with but haven't seen in a long time. In only two days at Facebook, I have already reconnected with two people that I went to high school with. :)

I certainly understand why you feel that way, Janice. Mona has been trying to get me to sign up for over a year now. I just wasn't interested though. I also felt that SO was enough online social activity for me. However, Billie told me how if I signed up I might be able to reconnect with people that I went to school with and that is what really got me to sign up.

Janice, that sounds awfully suspicious for that to be asked. I don't recall being asked for any of that when I signed up. I'm sorry you feel that way about Facebook.

I don't regret it for a bit (well, except when I was falsely accused by an EX friend of posting pornographic images and using vulgar language)

And I'm so glad Mike joined......I'm really glad to get to know him better--Mike
