Which do you prefer, Myspace, or Facebook??

I prefer Facebook over MySpace. I use to really enjoy Myspace, but now that site always seems dead, and there's only a few people who I ever hear from, and converse with at Myspace. There's alot that I hate about Facebook, but there's also alot that I enjoy about it. It's definitely more active, and there's much more to do there. I love how you can post how you're feeling, and almost immediately you get a bunch of responses. I rarely get bored when I'm there. So anyway, which do you prefer??

I don't have either. I have thought about getting Facebook, but decided against it. Facebook and myspace just aren't me. I've seen Kim and Cathy's Facebook pages and have seen Mattie and Meghan's myspaces though, and from what I've seen I would pick myspace as the better of the two. It has a more sophisticated layout.

On myspace I have a long list of friends there. And on myspace you design all your myspace layout with pictures, backgrounds, music, whatever you want to put there. :) My myspace page is totally RETRO. That's what I like with myspace. You can't do that on facebook. I use facebook cause I have more people there I actually know there, Friends, Family and relatives.

Facebook. Like you said, more people I know use it...and myspace is just so messy to me now. I hated facebook at first when I was used to myspace, but now that I'm used to facebook I rarely even check my myspace. I was even considering deleting mine, but there are some people's blogs I like to read.

I LOVE Facebook. I do think MySpace is "prettier" overall because it can be more personalized, but Facebook is more user-friendly and I like how I feel connected to so many people there. I have reconnected with old friends and talked to family I haven't talked to in years on Facebook. I am addicted to it now! :)

I like both equally. But right now there are a few things that bug me about both. I can't stand the People You May Know application on both Facebook and MySpace. I started using MySpace and Facebook around the same time in late 2005. My cousin pushed me into a getting a MySpace. Shortly after friends at my college told me about Facebook. Back then Facebook was used mostly by college students. I started to like Facebook more when they started adding apps. My friends from high school and a lot of my relatives use MySpace. The friends I made in college and at past jobs use Facebook.

I like that MySpace allows a blog feature. I don't like the note thing on Facebook at all. MySpace allows to an unlimited amount of groups. Facebook only allows you to join 200 groups. I find pros and cons on each.

I personally prefer MySpace, because of the site's connection with a lot of bands; it is a great way to find new groups to check out, and since I am a music fanatic this is the reason why I am on that site. facebook, I am addicted to the My Kitten app. and already adopted 18 cats that I am taking care of:lol:

I voted for myspace only because you can choose a variety of backgrounds and decorate it up. I usually update both sites regularly.

Same here. I even got connected with the first girl I ever kissed, and I have a date with her next week. :D

My vote goes to Facebook because I think my favorite dental assistant has a page there (I found this out just yesterday after googling her name on the internet!).

I agree I think the music part of MySpace a lot. I have discovered a lot of artists and groups through MySpace. I heard Facebook wants to do similar music pages for bands and artists at some point in the future.

I hate how MS has those automatic music players people put in their profile. You go to a page and all of the sudden you hear this music blaring out. Facebook seems less intrusive.

If you go on account settings on MySpace and click on miscellanous there is an option to not allow music players on the other's people profiles to auto start.

Myspace has some cool looking pages, but I think Facebook is far more user-friendly. Also it seems there are so many more people I know using Facebook now. I've connected with people I haven't heard from in YEARS. I really don't go to my MS page much anymore.

Personally, I like myspace more right now, because many of my friends are there... and mainly because you have more freedom on the design of the page, and you can do playlists... but Facebook does have way more cool quizzes and stuff to do... so I'll just have the best of both worlds, have my myspace page music playing, while browsing my facebook page lol!:D

To second what Tara said, Myspace is great for bands and artists. Its a good find to find various kinds of music from the past and the present. Myspace also has a lot of spam though and its easier to set up and I like where you can post blogs.


Facebook is good because I like the quizzes and the top 5 choices. It has less spam than myspace but its harder to set up. For instance its a lot easier to post pictures on myspace than it is facebook.

Well, it's official now. My favorite dental assistant has a Facebook page. Her name is Rebecca. She always helps me get through dentist appointments with no problems whatsoever! :)

I agree the photo system on myspace is better than the Facebook system.
