Will & Grace's Eric McCormack is going back to his sitcom roots with a recurring gig on The New Adventures of Old Christine, sources confirm to me exclusively. The Emmy winner, whose low-rated TNT dramedy Trust Me was (thankfully) axed after just one season, will play a therapist and potential love interest for Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
McCormack will start work on Old Christine after wrapping a guest stint on Law & Order: SVU. As I reported earlier this week, he'll play a handsome sugar daddy in this season's second episode.
