Why does every affiliate have a different schedule? All the same shows, but at different times and such.

Just confused as to why they don't have a national schedule. We just got it here, so I'm a newbie.

They have a national feed/schedule, so a lot of channels air the same shows at the same times.

The "customized" feeds/schedules are for channels that may want to have a newscast, local program, or maybe one of RTN's shows is already airing in that city, so that channel can't air it.

Hope that is a little help.

yes, my local RTN has plenty of local programs-RTN is not its only programming option, so the local public affairs show at noon couldn't exactly flow smoothly into the last half hour of The Bold Ones, for example. That's where a half hour show like Adam 12 gets a slot.

RTN is mainly on sub-channels of major network affiliates

In Seattle/Tacoma, RTN is on KIRO CBS 7.2

Another competitor to RTN is This TV by Weigel and MGM.

In Seattle/Tacoma, This TV is on KOMO 4.2
and in Portland/Salem, OR/Vancouver, WA This TV is on KATU 2.2
