Step By Step and Boy Meets World are my two most wanted shows on Nick at Nite. I think we'll see them both on the lineup in the near future. At this point, I wouldn't mind ANY show that replaced The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I hope Family Matters is on Nick at Nite for a long time though.

And Solomon, you're a Boy Meets World fan? I didn't know that. I would die to have Boy Meets World on NAN. It hasn't been on television since it left the ABC Family lineup a couple years ago.

Some network really does need to pick Boy Meets World up already. I think Nick at Nite would be perfect. Maybe even The N.

If Malcolm and Chris do well for NAN, the next option should easily be Boy Meets World. They're going after the family audience - BMW would be perfect. The N would also work. I really just want Boy Meets World back on television. It's been too long.

AGREED.

I think it could easily be the next big hit for N@N. It always seemed to do well for ABC Family and Disney. I would love it at 9, G.LO at 10 and Family Matters at 11... that would be my perfect N@N.

Boy Meets World was also successful on local stations during the mid-late '90s. It obviously did well on Disney and ABC Family all those years, and I would assume it even did well enough in late night on Disney, since they kept it at 2:00am for a good while. This show has done well whenever it was on, no matter what time it was. Nick at Nite needs to pick it up!

I was looking forward to having Family Matters back in primetime at 10pm. Unfortunately, NAN had to go screw it up (the first time they did that in a very long time) and air Fresh Prince instead. But, I've been enjoying The Nanny at 11pm, especially with no Leno. Boy Meets World at 9pm would be fantastic.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air had it's heyday on Nick at Nite. Finally after four years, it wasn't doing too well, so Nick at Nite moved it in order to give other shows a chance. Just a few months later, The Fresh Prince is back in primetime twice a night. Ugh. It's needs to go away already - for good. If the reason for bringing it back to primetime is to keep the slot warm for Everybody Hates Chris in the fall, or even for George Lopez to move back there in the fall, will it really work? The Fresh Prince wasn't doing good for them anymore, why do they think it will hit big again?

I agree - it needs to just go away. I don't understand why its back in primetime or why NAN thinks they need it back in primetime. It had its long day in the spotlight, but now there shouldn't be room for it.

I think Family Matters should be on at 10:00 and 10:30pm this summer. It still can be looked at as a "fresh" show on Nick at Nite. It hasn't been on the network very long, and definitely hasn't been shown nearly the amount of times that The Fresh Prince or even George Lopez have been. Nick at Nite needs to give Family Matters more exposure. Not only is it an enjoyable show, but out of all their shows, it's the one with the highest episode count. They should make use of that, rather than only airing it twice a night. I'm not saying it should be overplayed like many others that have been on that channel, I'm just saying that the show that hasnt' been overplayed, and that has the most episodes, should be on more than the overplayed shows, with a smaller episode count.

I definitely agree. Family Matters would have done great at 10pm. Why they opted to air Fresh Prince instead of beyond me. Seems like a stupid decision, especially since FP has been played over and over and over and FM hasn't. Family Matters could use more exposure, and it's disappointing to see NAN stick it at 3am.

I don't think that's the reason. I just always hated the show, LOL.

You also didn't like how Roseanne was the main focus, and her family were the supporting players. Roseanne was the center because it was about her life. I think the rest of the family got enough screentime.

Roseanne had a lot of Becky/Darlene episodes in the first 4 seasons. They were always main players in the show, and they both had a lot of storylines. Even in season 5-7 and the rest of the series, a lot of the episodes dealt around Darlene and David, Becky and Mark, etc.

I think Boy Meets World would be a huge hit for the N. However, on N@N I don't see it as much (unless they were to air it at 8 like with Malcolm as the transition show). It is a more teenage show (especially the first few seasons) and is not very family oriented like most of N@N's other shows.

I don't think Grace Under Fire would do well on Nick at Nite. That '70s Show would probably be huge for them though. It seems like every channel it's ever been syndicated on showed/shows it no less than four times a day! Aside from Friends in 2011, That '70s Show could be their next big acquisition in the next few years.

Grace Under Fire would fit in perfectly with George Lopez and Home Improvement (the latter which was at once it's lead-in during it's original run). I think it would do decent numbers for N@N with the right promotion and support and if they allowed people time to find the show.

This list is just sad. I really have nothing to vote on at all. Some of the shows I like moderately but not massively enough for a poll. :(

BTW, since we're discussing what shows should be on Nick at Nite, I want The John Larroquette Show, but I'm sure it would be edited down quite a bit due to the cynical tone of the first season. Right now the only way I'm able to access the show is through torrents of digitally converted worn out VHS copies via Demonoid.

That '70s Show would have to be on past 10...maybe at 11 or 12, but It would do huge for Nick @ Nite. Maybe if it wasn't airing on The N, FX, ABC Family and local affiliates, I'd want N@N to go for it, but not now.

I don't see how they're gonna handle Friends. Either at 12am or 1, or move it straight to TV Land. And does TBS lose the rights in 2011?

If Reba wasn't on Lifetime 3-hours a day and on ION, I'd love it on N@N.

why would it have to air past 10? i could see it airing at 9 or 930 easily and still being a big hit. I imagine that they will give "Friends" the royal treatment and let it dominate the schedule, i hope by the time Friends comes to N@N that the schedule will have a bit more variety to it and include some shows that are just for adults. I used to love how at 9 shows would be more adult oriented than the ones that aired at 7 or 8.

According to a Variety article, here is how Friends will work:

Nick at Nite - 2011 until 2017 at $500,000 an episode (after 6pm)
TBS - 2011 until 2017 at $250,000 an episode (before 6pm, so its cheaper)

I don't see how Friends will really fit on N@N unless they are significantly different by 2011. They are more about family shows, and no it'll be a split deal with TBS for several years after that(and it'll still be on locals).

It seems to me like the schedule will be a bit different by 2011. Assuming that MITM, The Nanny and George Lopez are all still hits by then i would imagine that Friends would air after 9pm (prob at 10 or 11) so it wouldn't feel so out of place it if aired after MITM which has a more adult tone to it and George Lopez can be rather racy sometimes as well.

I assume by then they will have acquired some other shows as well that i'm sure will play better with Friends. I cant' imagine they wouldn't do everything to make the show a major hit.

Friends will fit great from 11PM-12AM. It's the perfect time because they can use 8-9 with Malcolm to transition from Nick to N@N use 9-11 for their more "grown up" shows that are hits for them and then by 11 it would be time for a more adult, less family type of show. I used to love watching Friends at 11 before bed on WPIX it's just the perfect time for Friends, imo.

How 'bout this for N@N (if they were to get T7S)

8-9PM: Malcolm in the Middle
9-10PM:That 70's Show
10-11PM: George Lopez (can't decide if T7S or GL should be first..)
11-12AM: Friends
12-1AM:The Nanny
1-2AM:Family Matters
encores and whatever else comes (damn just realized EHC is supposed to come oh man...)

That's a good point. Roseanne aired at 11pm for years and was a huge hit, and it was very adult-themed(compared to Malcolm, Nanny, FM) even though it's also a family sitcom.

I've seen every episode of "Family Matters" from its days on TBS and ABC Family, so I'm focused on "The Nanny" right now. I tape most of the episodes and watch them on the DVR in "mini-marathons". I just don't like how they don't run the show in order, as with all their shows.

I will have to re-visit FM because of its re-attained 10PM slot (yay!!).

yeah why don't they run their shows in order? i've noticed that with MITM as well--one episode will air and then the next one is from like two seasons later!

I'd have a hard time picking out a favorite from the list that was given, but I guess I'll go with Family Matters, and Fresh Prince in second place. The others I don't like at all.
