Captain EO was a 17 minute short film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by George Lucas for a Walt Disney 3D attraction.

It opened in 1986 and lasted until the mid-1990s before it was replaced.

The film starred Michael Jackson as "Captain EO" and Anjelica Huston as "The Supreme Leader". It was a space themed musical with Michael Jackson attempting to bring peace to the evil space queen.

Captain EO featured two new Michael Jackson songs "Another Part Of Me" and "We Are Here To Change The World".
"Another Part Of Me" was released on Bad but "We Are Here To Change The World" did not get an album release until the 2004 compilation Michael Jackson: The Ultimate Collection.

As of now Captain EO has not been released on any home video format.

I did get to experience this once in Disney's EPCOT Center. I really don't remember much about it at all and I saw it when the attraction was on its way out. Did anyone else get to experience it?

Thanks for the links. I didn't know it was a film, I was under the impression that it was more like a ride. I've never seen it (obviously!), but I'm definitely going to check it out.

Nope it wasn't a ride it was a 3D film.
I vaguely remember seeing it in Disney.

I love that attraction. One time when the lines were almost nothing I think I went on it 6x straight.
