Commercials That Make Me Laugh!

I saw a Tide Commercial, and in the commercial, the voice over actor says, 'You can get a lot of water where you least expect it." The screen has about 7 bottles of water(one which is the outline of a Perrier bottle, I would know this because i work in a Walgreens and see them from time to time). Then the actor says, "Like here." Shows an outline of a laundry detergent bottle! I laugh to myself everytime I see this commercial!:lol:

The second commercial I laugh at is Subway's commercial. The voice actor says, "You didn't ask for a drill instructor for a gym teacher." The screen shows a gym teacher barking orders at this kid who is doing sit ups on a mat.. I laugh to myself when i see this commercial too! Though I think, "poor kid." He really does seem like a drill instructor.":( :lol:

Mine is the Sonic commercial that is out and it has a black and white woman in the car near the drive thru window and they are talking about what wild action they will take after they finsih their shakes. I don't know which company this is for, but there's a hefty guy trying to dive off a diving board and the board breaks. For some reason I just giggled helplessly the first time I saw that. I also loved the Safe Auto ads ("Oh my...a leather thong!" :rofl:), and those commercials with Keith Olbermann popping up when a wafer thin model complains of a "burning within". He yells, "It's called hunger. EAT SOMETHING!" :lol:

I saw one the other day that just cracked me up! There is a fast food chain in Seattle called "Taco Time", and they were advertising burritos or something. These people go into a hospital room and the guy is all bandaged up like a mummy. The people are showing him the burritos and you can tell he really wants one, and he starts making noises and rolling his eyes every which way. It's one of those "You had to be there" commercials. I can't find it on Youtube, though.

The Orkin ads are hilarious. There's 2 of them I've seen so far, one with a cockaroach and one with a termite. I love the termite one. The termite knocks on the door and tells the homeowner his car broke down and asks to use the phone then he looks over the homeowners shoulder at the wood staircase and asks "is that oak?". Then at the end , the Orkin guy comes and has a stare down with the termite and the termite peels off in a beat up car.:lol:

Then there's the ally bank one, where this little chubby boy is playing with a toy truck and this corporate guy takes the truck away and gives him a cardboard truck. The boy looks at it and says "Its a piece of junk!" The look on the kids face and the way he delivers that line is priceless

There is this Got Milk commercial where a customer brings a box called Fragile to a shipping center and says it needs to be handled carefully. The employee says okay and after the customer leaves, the box is thrown, kicked, and put in a fast moving truck and then kicked again to a house`s front door. The customer from the beginning scene opens the box and takes out a bottle of chocolate milk and drinks it. The logo Got Milk appears. :lol:

There was a commercial where a lead singer excitedly tells his band's fans at a rock concert, "Thank you, Detroit!" his drummer says, "Detroit was last night. He then also says something like, "This is Boston." The lead singer looks like he is sh.... himself from embarassment and regret. A male voiceover asks,, "Wish you could get away?" then the commercial showed airline flights. ;) LOL :lol: I think it was a Sprit Airline commercial.

I also like most of the GEICO and Progressive ads.

I'm not sure why I don't find the "Flo" character from the Progressive ads annoying. I look at those commercials and think "I really should be annoyed by this character, but for some reason, I'm not. I actually like her". Anyone else think that?

I hope some network doesn't snap her up and put that character in a sitcom though. It's one thing to be funny for 30 seconds. A half hour sitcom is another matter. And didn't someone try to make a sitcom out of the GEICO cave men? Or they were thinking about it...


And even though I'm not a beer drinker (never liked the stuff), I've ALWAYS thought that beer commercials were the most consistently funny commercials out there. Ever since the "Tastes great / Less filling" Miller Lite commercials started coming out in the early 80s, I've thought that beer commercials have been just great.

The Budwiser ads with the Clydesdales are always done well, and they've added humor to them lately too, thanks to computer animation.

The Beer ads where those 4 guys are at the NFL press conferences and they ask the coaches questions, and then you see actual footage of real NFL coaches lifted from actual press conferences that they had... just hilarious.

And beer ads are no longer just about a bunch of guys getting together and drinking. Now they involve the wives/girlfriends, and those ads are a riot too.

One ad involves a young black couple. The wife is in a romantic mood, and leaves notes around the house for her husband to find, hoping to lead him into the bedroom. BUT, once he finds the note that's attached to the case of beer in the fridge, he's finally found what he's looking for and forgets all about her lol

Another one (for Miller Lite) shows a young man and his girlfriend sitting at a table in an indoor/outdoor cafe. She says to him "If I was hanging off of a cliff, would you give up your life for me?". "Absolutely", he says.

Then she asks, "What if your mother was hanging from the same cliff?". He says "Sorry Mom!" and the girlfriend smiles at his devotion. Then she asks "What if your dog was hanging from the same cliff?". He looks at the dog and says "Sorry pal".

Then, she asks "What about your Miller Lite?". And he stops and thinks for a few moments, and asks "How high is this cliff again?" She gets up and storms off.

There is a new Butterfingers Snackerz commercial where two Southern Belles are sitting on a couch in what looks to be a foyer. There is a bowl of BS(LOL at the abbreviation.:lol: ) and the Southern Belle on the right says, "I think i'll have a BS," and reaches for the BS bowl. The Southern Belle on the left says, "I think you won't," and made her doll taze her friend. The SBL says, 'No one is getting my BS." LOL....:lol:

FedEx has some good ones running now. I love the one where the Chinese teen and his parents confront the adult posing as an exchange student so he can meet Chinese clients. He gets up in a huff for "soccer rehearsal", lol. Another funny one is the office that's having their parties combined to save time. The older guy's retirement party, a birthday, etc. Then the boss starts singing to the girl that he "found her resume in the printer". Everybody join in, "I found your resume in the printer", lol.
