I have a MySpace account, but I'm not on FaceBook. I'm just curious, what's the difference?

according to www.websiteoutlook.com - $361.35 Million USD

facebook.com Estimated Worth $602.25 Million USD
myspace.com Estimated Worth $240.9 Million USD

...but they are really only worth whatever you put into it.

and now that we have had Rob's financial outlook........

I have both, but prefer Facebook--I've reconnected with a LOT of people and the interface is a lot easier to navigate. a more sense of community there, than at Myspace. Plus I've gotten to know several SO'ers better there. So come on Adam, jump in, the water's fine......

I have both. I joined MySpace back in December 2005 at the urging of a couple of friends. I joined Facebook shortly after that. At the time when I joined both they were drastically different. Facebook at the time was heavily used by college students and didn't have the apps or what you doing features. I liked MySpace more back then because you could put up different profile layouts, have a music player and other media stuff. Eventually Facebook added apps and other cool things. Many people have joined Facebook's regional network and high school networks in the past couple of years. MySpace has copied a lot of stuff from Facebook with the apps and stuff in the past year.

I sort of prefer Facebook because it is bit easier to navigate. Most of my friends from college and my older relatives use Facebook. Most of my friends from high school and my relatives who around the same age as me use MySpace more.

Facebook has limits on how many groups you can join. You can only join 200 groups on there. MySpace has no limits on groups you can join. Facebook is a bit more private. You can only see public set profiles of people in your networks. On MySpace you can see millions of public set profiles because MySpace doesn't have geographical set networks.

I have both a myspace and a facebook page too. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. With Myspace its easier to upload pictures and I like the bulliten section too. With Facebook I like the quizes thought.

Somebody told me Myspace is more teen and early adult, and Facebook is adults and up. I dont know if its true or not but I've seen people of all ages on both.

I think Facebook started out as being available only to people attending university (so 18 and above) and then opened up to more people. I do remember people in 2005/2006 saying that they thought Facebook was more adult than Myspace. However, Facebook now allows younger teens/children to register, so I think they both cater to the same audience now.
