Mattie hasn't posted for a while, but I hope that when she returns that she'll see this thread for her. I've been thinking about making this one for a while now. Mattie is a really sweet and carrying young lady who makes everyone she knows feel good about themselves. And I'm lucky to be able to say that I know her. :) Here's to you, Mattie! :cool:

I love Mattie, and appreciate her so much. A couple months ago, I was feeling real down, infact I was suicidal. Mattie immediately responded with the most loving, and heartfelt response, and said she was crying because she was so worried about me. I immediately wrote her back while crying myself, and that night we chatted, and she helped pull me out of my depression. Since then, I have called Mattie an Angel without wings, and I truly in my heart believe she is an Angel. I have grown very close to Mattie, and consider her one of my best friends of all time. I appreciate Mattie with all my heart and soul, and thank God everyday for bringing this very special Angel into my life. God Bless you Mattie, and I hope to see you back at SO soon. Until then, I will continue to look forward to our chats. :heart: :angel:

Wow! I had no idea this thread even existed. First off, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you! This really touched my heart, it was beating so fast when I saw this thread. :D

Okay, yes, I am back... and I'm telling you all three things about myself, in hopes that I can get to know my friends a little better, and also meet some new and interesting people.

#1. I'm very close to my friends. Basically, if we're friends, we're gonna be good friends... I don't do "aquaintance" very well. I either know you or I don't, and I think that tends to come off as cliquish sometimes... which leads me to thing #2.

#2. I'm not cliquish. I'm very much a realist. I'm not good at reading between the lines, I take what you tell me at face value, so what I write in my posts is what I mean... I don't do "subtle hints" or "the true meaning behind that." I'm very blunt, and I really need people to be open and honest with me. And I love meeting new friends all the time, I just love learning about people... different views, personalities, qualities, it's all good! I believe that the most interesting people are the ones you don't agree with.

#3. I am who I am. I'm a very "tell it like it is" kind of gal... I'm also very affectionate. It's just me... I can't change it. Please know, I would NEVER post anything on this board to intentionally insult or annoy anyone here. That is one promise I intend always to keep.

I feel like Mattie and I have quite a bit in common as far as this board goes. As she pointed out in another thread, we both joined at about the same time (although her post count is higher than mine), I also am not cliquish, and I try to reach out to as many people as I can.

Mattie is down to earth and a sweetheart. Oh and she has a good sense of humor as well. Here's to you, Mattie. :cheers:

I'm sorry I'm late with this Mattie, but as you know I've just not been around much recently due to several reasons. I'm sooooooo freaking glad I was able to help convince you to come back though. These boards just haven't been the same for me without you, and it's obvious to me that many others felt the same way. Now that you're back, I plan on posting more myself. :D You also know how I feel about you, so there's no need for me to say it here, but what the heck, I will anyway. :lol: You're a very special person in my life, and I am so proud to have you as a friend!!! I know we haven't been chatting much lately, but now that I'm feeling better, I plan to change that.
