Sunday is church

I'm off from work tomorrow. I will probably go grocery shopping and I will go the mall to buy my dad a Father's Day gift. On Saturday I'm playing softball with some friends. Sunday I will probably stay home and relax for the day.

I used to have my weekend on Wed and Thurs so I know how you feel. When I came back to work on Friday everyone would tell me to have a nice weekend. My answer was always "I already did!" :lol: So now when I know that people who work the weekend are coming up on their "weekday weekend", I try to make sure I tell them "happy weekend" before I leave for the day!

BTW, what kind of job do you have?

Not doing too much this weekend. We just got our house painted (they finished today) and I swear it looks like a Seattle Seahawk house! I picked out a blue-ish/grey color with a light grey trim. They started painting on Monday and I kept telling my husband that it looked blue and not grey. I love blue, so it didn't bother me at all. I was afraid that the homeowners were going to say something since they approved a grey/blue color. However the homeowner rep lives across the street from us and he thinks our house looks cool! In fact, the painters said that people have been driving by doing a double take when they see it! I'm kind of leary about posting a picture here, but I'll think about it!

Anyway, where was I? Oh, I'm not working this weekend, so I think I'm just going to do some errands and stuff around the house. It rained today, after 28 or so days without rain. Kind of weird to be this dry in June. Usually our "summer" doesn't start until after the 4th. Even weirder to know that we are having a drought. My question is what in the heck happened to all that water we got when we had that 14 inches of snow last winter!?????

Work 6am-2pm and 5pm-9pm tomorrow, and I may have to work Sunday night, haven't checked the schedule. I also have to study because I have a test on Tuesday and Thursday! :crazy:

Church and sleep!! I also borrowed the movie Serenity from a co-worker, so I want to watch it over the weekend so I can give it back to her on Tuesday.

Saturday: Little Shopping. Much relaxing at Home.

Hey gang.

Not much planned this weekend. I'm trying to get all my household chores done today since I'll be heading home this weekend to see the dads in my family.

Tonight should be a fun time. My friend Mike is having a big going away party at Conker Hill. Mike is going overseas for a couple of months to do some volunteer work. Very nice of him IMO, I've never pictured him as much of a charity guy.

Also I'll be finding out tonight if I have to do jury duty next week in New Jersey. That will definatly change my travel plans this weekend.

I'm a grocery store checker. It's easy/boring/annoying/exhausting but the people I work with make it all the while.

Well, working tomorrow..

But today and yesterday I saw that I had no hours for next week!! :eek:

I even asked a co worker if she got her schedule and she did. The manager who did the scheduling didn't come in today so I wrote a note to the manager who is working tonight just for the heck of it but I probably will have to talk to the manager who did the scheduling tomorrow as I call her.

I'm hoping they messed up and thought I was on vacation this week as well as the two other weeks. Gonna really suck if they messed up and have me working the second week of my vacation even though, the manager who did the scheduling might not have seen or known about my vacation that I asked for months in advance.

I am leaving on June 29th and come back on July 12th.

The director's cut of The Wrath of Khan is excellent. The movie was a masterpiece to begin with and the additional scenes make it just that much better. :)

I don't have much plans for the weekend yet. I do plan on watching a movie that JamesG recommended I see, called Felon. My mom's boyfriend Carl already watched it, and he said he loved it. I also plan on watching some more movies that were recommended to me. I'm also planning on possibly attending Church on Sunday. It's been years since I've gone, but I really feel the need to get God back in my life the way He use to be in it, so that's something I'm definitely looking into. Aside from that, I'm just going to play things by ear, and see where the weekend takes me. :)
