While on FB this morning, all of a sudden it goes to something called "My Computer Online Scan" and then if you try to click off, it says "your computer is under personal attack". I have heard that some people have been getting malware/hijacked on Facebook. A friend of mine had her account compromised with someone who was using it to link people to attack sites.

Here's my Hijack This report (Rob, if you can interpret this, thank you.)

try the removal tool first: http://remove-malware.net/spyware-doctor/greatvirusscancom/download-greatvirusscancom-automatic-remover

more instructions: http://remove-malware.net/how-to-remove-greatvirusscancom-hijacker/

after that try the free Malwarebytes (http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button) to verify the removal.

next step would be Combofix (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix)

ok, but did you spot anything suspicious on the report?

yes, but nothing that you can simply "check to remove"

run the removal tool and the Malwarebytes scan - hopefully they can clear it out automatically without any headaches.

that home shopping software you have is known to cause some problems as well - mainly it never deletes its temp files, it might not be a bad idea to uninstall the program, delete all of your temp files with a program like CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/download)or ATF cleaner (http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/ATF-Cleaner-Download-32740.html) and then reinstall the software.

Which one--Shoppers Hotline or Nielsen HomeScan?

I'll be doing what you say later on as time is running short today, but thanks for the advice!

Shoppers Hotline - apparently it never reuses the temp files and they just keep growing and growing

Thanks again Rob!

I did the Malwarebytes thing--while it was doing McAfee notified me of a Trojan and removed it. Mal also found 2 objects that were disabling my virus and firewall registry keys.
