Actually, it's not the dating part I need help on, I need help on knowing places to go to meet women to possibly date. It's been over a year since I broke up with my ex, and I think it's time I started dating again. I'm not into the bar scene though, and I'm not into dance clubs, and so I just don't know where is a good place to go to meet women, and that's where you guys' come in. I've tried online dating with mixed results. Things usually either turned out great, or they turned into a total disaster. So that's always an option. Any advice you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I wish I could help you but the last time I went out on a date this country was still a British colony.

How about the library??????

The museum?????

I have always thought those are interesting places to meet ladies.

I could use some help too.

And...to be cheap about it without being cheap. :(

I'm sorry it's been so long since you dated. :( You're a great guy though, and if women aren't giving you a chance, it's their loss. Just hang in there, and I'm sure you'll meet someone soon. You're too good of a guy not to. :)

Thanks for the ideas. I'm not big on museums, but I'll definitely give the library a try. I'm also going to start going to Church again, so I'm sure I can meet some good girls there.

church is a great place! maybe join a bible study group or something of the sort? being a new member will mean you can meet tons of new people.

maybe you can volunteer someplace, like at a hospital or even at the library. it's easier to meet people there when you are working there.

maybe you & some friends can go to a bar? there's always interesting people there.

good luck! it is difficult meeting new people, but once you meet a couple of new people, the ball will get rolling & hopefully you will be dating someone new!

Just getting out and being with the public you will meet a lot of women. Like someone else said, when you join a new Church people will be all over you. Also some churches have singles night.

Megan's post reminded me that my dad met his current wife in a bar... so anything can happen. That was around 14 1/2 years ago, and they've been married for over 13 years now.

Yeah, back in my video poker days, I met alot of interesting women in bars. Usually the only ones I would flirt with, and who would flirt with me, were the bartenders. There was one bartender who asked me out, but at the time I was dating someone else, so I politely turned her down. I'll have to go to Tom's bar sometime, and see if she's still available. She was pretty cute!! :D

1.Don’t Date A Cheater: When Dorothy reconnected with an ex after his wife died—the same wife that he was cheating on when he dated Dorothy—he convinced her that now was their chance to be together, since he was suddenly single. They nearly got married, but Dorothy realized she couldn’t tie the knot with Glen O’Brien because, even though he was played by sexy grandpa Jerry Orbach, he was afraid to be alone more than he was in love with her.

2.Not Everyone Loves A Clown: It’s one thing to be funny like Dick Van Dyke, but it’s quite another to be a cameo character played by him who was a retired lawyer turned creepy clown. He eventually ran away with the circus, instead of Dorothy. Oh, well. You can’t get close to a man when he’s got a red rubber nose on.

3.Don’t Live With Your Mother: Then you can’t sneak your boyfriends in without her busting your balls, er, pallas; that’s Italian for balls.

4.Don’t Take Back Your Ex: Stan was so not the man! No matter how many times he came crawling back, even after he remarried twice, Dorothy would fall for him all over again. Damn, that sleaze could sell used cars, and by used car I mean a man like himself with a cheap rug that looked more like a floor mat.

5.Don’t Date A Plagiarist: Back in high school, Dorothy was hot for teacher. Although she finally got to date her English teach as an adult, he wound up being a total “those who can’t do, teach.” Mr. Gordon stole kisses and her writing, which he passed off as his own in the local newspaper. Dorothy was the real poet, and she didn’t even know it until it was too late!

What about college, Brad? Are you still considering pursuing that in the future? It's so fun to meet people in an educational setting... some of them are just freakin awesome!...

First, women are more successful with online dating; because there are more men on dating sites. My suggestion is become a member of a local church dating club or some kind of social scene.

I am not so big on church as an option as for meeting people. To me thats where I go worship the Lord and learn how to conduct my life as I should. I always feel guilty when I find myself looking at a beautiful woman at church. Thats just me though.

I loved that Dick Van Dyke episode, where he went to defend Dorothy and the others in full clown get-up, complete with the gigantic shoes!! Classic!!
