I find it funny that two 70s icons are going after each other over their weight loss programs. Bertinelli calls Osmond's Nutrisystem food "crappy," while Osmond wonders why a 49 year-old would want to be in a bikini. (For the record, I think Bertinelli looks great in a bikini.)

No surprise there and likewise for me, The Nutrisystem food looks nasty, puke:and the commercials are stupid especially the ones with Jillian Barberie.

This reminds me of those catfighting, mudfighting girls in that beer commercial: "TASTES GREAT!" "LESS FILLING!"

Why is that Jillian woman in the spotlight anyway?? I have never understood her appeal - she's always just irritated me.

Val could so take Marie in a fight.

I wouldn't bet on it, All 9 of the Osmond siblings trained in Karate under Chuck Norris. I have no idea what status Marie or her brothers achieved but regardless of that, I have no doubt she would give Val a run for her money.

I agree
I side with Valerie just because she is better looking

different diets work for different people, i am just happy that they both found something that works for them and they are both happy and healthy.

I'll side with Val where the diets are concerned and not because I think one is better looking than the other.

Exactly. Everyone has their own eating patterns and the most effective diets are the ones most tailored to the individual's preferences. But, before any diet is started, its always a good idea to run it buy your doctor, esp. if you have some type of medical condition. For example, I tend to emphasize protein on my diets, but if you have kidney issues that may not be good.
I personally prefer a Weight Watchers type of approach and am not a big fan of the Atkin's diet. But...then...some have done well with it...so to each their own as long as the doc thinks its OK.

This goes back to last month when Valerie started with the bikini commercials. Marie said in an interview that Valerie isn't being a good role model for women by parading around in a bikini, blah-blah-blah.

They both lost weight and look great, I don't know why they have to start taking jabs at each other's diets, it's silly.

Yeah, but...

but if Marie knows karate, it might be an even match.

They both look great. It doesn't matter to me what diet is better. As long as it works for them.

let's give them both 5 years and see who is still succeeding at keeping the weight off....it's not easy.

I've heard many times that 90% of people gain back the weight they lost.

That's incredible, isn't it?? Even gastric bypass doesn't seem to be a guarantee to keep all the weight off forever.

ESPECIALLY gastric bypass. It doesn't address the issue of WHY the person eats. It just takes it away.
p.S. i'VE HEARD THE PERSON can anyway overeat with it; i know women who had it done and hardly lost weight.
