In contrast to Brad's "personality flaws" thread, I wanna know what you guys consider your greatest personality traits! Seriously, what do you guys think you do well in this life. I'm just trying to put some positive stuff out there, as it seems that a lot of people are depressed right now.:(
I'm gonna have to think of some for me... my mind is blank right now.:D

You beat me to it Mattie. I was going to post this to change the mood a bit myself. :D As far as my best traits, I'm really going to have to think about that. It was easy coming up with my bad traits, but harder to come up with good ones. Don't know what that says about me.
Btw Mattie, I thought you might be happy to know that after our chat, I took a little nap, and I feel better now. It's amazing how resting your mind can make such a huge difference in the way you feel. :)

I think that I'm loyal to my friends. Most of the time anyway. There have been a few cases where I have taken a friend for granted, but overall, I'm a really loyal friend. Infact, I think I care a great deal about people in general. I hate to see people in pain.
Though I was never a great student (sometimes I wasn't even a good student), I consider myself intelligent. I love to read and learn new things. I also consider myself a deep thinker. I like to think about life, people and what it all means. I am worried that this is going to make me sound arrogant though.
I'm a hard worker. I also like to work. Going to work each day gave me great fulfillmeant. I have a great work ethic which I got from my dad. Sure, I love to come home, watch a movie, read a book or listen to music. However, I believe that work comes before play. My dad taught my sisters and I early on that we have a responsibility to contribute to our society. That is something we all took to heart.
I'm against violence in any form. Well, I like violence in movies, but in real life I am totally against it. Even though I was born in 1976, I think I have a very 60's outlook on life. I really believe in peace and love. Make love not war.
I try to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. I believe that faith goes way beyond just going to church each week. I believe that a person is supposed to take the message of Jesus and live by it through out the week. A person's responsibiliy as a Christian doesn't end when they leave the church. Infact, it has only begun.

I consider myself to be fairly deep.
I'm usually quite non-judgmental.

I'm fairly intelligent. I'm good with the English language.
Not that that's really a personality trait...or anything I had control over. But it's all I have at the moment.

Absolutely they worked!! I took a little three hour nap, and when I woke up, I felt renewed, and happy. As a matter of fact, this whole day has been a happy and productive day, and your prayers are the reason for that. Thanks so much Mattie, words can't even express how grateful I am for you!!! :D

Cathy, I think you have an excellent grasp of the Englsih language. Even though I have always recieved many complements on my writing ability from past teachers/professors and friends, I still have a poor grasp of the rules of grammer. I'm creative and know how to make things sound good, but I have all but forgotten the grammer rules I learned in school. I don't recall ever reading something by you where the use of grammer was anything less than perfect. :) And you are without a doubt one of the most intelligent people here. I think that you could write a great book. :)

Another thing: When I speak, I use proper English and good grammar, and I am articulate.

There are things that I never grasped either. I couldn't point out a past participle or a dangling modifier and anything like that.

I think I'm actually more a good storyteller than a good writer. I'm creative and write in way that makes it interesting to the reader. In creative writing I recieved all A's and in a history course the professor read a paper of mine as an example on how to write an essay. Also, people seem to like my stories and fanfics. All of this though is more the result of being a good storyteller than being a good writer.

I am very passionate; loving life and I also have many hobbies.
I am exceptionally loving; especially towards people that mean a lot to me.
Non-conformist; dressing the way that suits me, having my own tastes, etc. (not following others).
Strong; emotionally, as well as physically

I don't know what mine are, I've never really thought there was anything unique or special about me really.
I just know that I try my best to be a good friend. I would go to the ends of the earth for those special people I'm lucky enough to call my friends.

I'd like to think I'm a good storyteller, too, but then a lot of that is a matter of opinion, so maybe I'm not.

Cathy, it's all matter of opinion... it's all subjective! No matter what good qualities a person thinks they have, there's gonna be someone out there who doesn't see it at all. I have met some brilliant, caring, and kind people who others say are idiots... it's always a shocker to me when that happens.
By the way, I happen to think you have a pretty sophisticated writing style, so try not to put yourself down too much, okay?:)
