Anyone have this car parts store in your area?

Obviously it sells car parts or batteries and can install them as well and some can fix cars, I think..

I got a really mean assed bone to pick with a store near where my mom works.

My mom's hip is still really giving her trouble as to when she walks it hurts her and obviously she needs to work so we don't lose the house and stuff and she sees the hip specialist next Thursday unless there is a cancellation.

When she got to the car it wouldn't start so her work got a battery they have to start it and told her to go to the Kragen auto parts store near work.

Well, she went and they checked it and told her it was a battery then she asked the guy if he could put in a new in a new one. He said he had to check with a manager then came back and told her he wouldn't. She did tell them as she walked away they lost a customer. But the guy never said that the store couldn't put batteries in even though she has had batteries in the store before so why not yesterday. Imagine if the battery died on the freeway, I could have a wrongful death suit against them.

So she left, pain in her leg that really hurts her and drove off to another Kragen auto parts near my house and since she hasn't been in there before she told them she didn't know if the battery was messing up. But they checked it and they replaced the battery then my mom got home.

Maybe because my mom's hurting so much that it bugs me more than it should but I don't understand why one store couldn't/wouldn't do it. I really want to complain but I don't know exactly what store it was, there are two of them near my mom's work and I don't want to say it's near a Target store.

Any ideas as to what I can do?

I'd go to the store that dissed your mom and ask for the manager. I'd then bitch him out for a good hour or so about how crappy they treated her!

Your mom should have went to an auto repair shop to have her car checked instead of a parts store. The repair shop would have checked to see why the battery went bad, then replaced it for her. I don't blame the auto parts store... some will install batteries, but most sell parts, not install them.

Call the BBB - after you call the store's higher-ups and give them the what-for!!

That's digusting. The sad part is there are plenty of stores like that, that will intentionally screw over women.

I should know - I've been there. That's why I will never, ever entrust my car or money to another Midas.

Midas is absolutely horrible. I would rather go to a privately owned gas station or store. They are usually better and treat their customers better.

I also made sure to tell all my friends not to go to Midas, either. Let's just say that the Midas touch here is...not gold.
