She'd need to tone down her famous sex appeal - and seriously cultivate her eyebrows.
Even so, Catherine Zeta-Jones is said to be desperate to play Susan Boyle on screen.
Miss Zeta-Jones, 39, has apparently asked about the film rights to the singer's life story and sensational appearance on Britain's Got Talent.
It is believed that Oscar-winning film director James Cameron, who was behind Titanic, has expressed an interest in a similar project.

Miss Boyle, a shy church volunteer from West Lothian, Scotland, has become a star in the U.S. after her performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables on the ITV show several weeks ago.
Footage of the performance has become the most viewed YouTube clip of all time with about 100million hits.

Miss Boyle has been dubbed the 'hairy angel' because of her frizzy hair cut and bushy eyebrows - and she claims to have never been kissed or had a boyfriend.

A source on Britain's Got Talent said of the Zeta-Jones proposal: 'This is one of many requests we have had to play her [Miss Boyle], for movie deals and for stories of her life.

'All these people are coming out and want to be associated with her. She is the biggest thing in the world. It is mental.'
A spokesman for Miss Boyle said she was unwilling to comment.
Miss Zeta-Jones's publicist in the U.S. said there were currently no plans for her to play Miss Boyle.

Catherine is too young for the part, I'd go with Meryl Streep or Sissy Spacek.

She turns 40 this year and Meryl Streep and Sissy Spacek both turn 60. Susan Boyle is 47, where's the logic in casting one of those 2 over CZJ?

Susan looks older than 47 CZJ looks way younger than her. It's about looking around the same age.

That's why they have a make-up department.

I laughed when I read the thread title. I then realized that those Hollywood make-up/over departments can really work wonders. Think Charlize Theron in Monster.

susan boyle can sing, but i still don't understand what this big deal is about her. is it just because she defied some stereotype about ugly people not being able to sing? when i first heard her speak, i knew she had at least potential for a good singing voice. she's had decades to train her voice, after all.

Catharine would need to wear a wig and have a lot of old lady makeup applied to her face in order to play Susan Boyle.

Not to be rude, but WHY?? Does Susan Boyle remind anyone else of the infamous Judy Cohen in that Good Times episode??

Everyone loves an underdog story. She's a frumpy older woman who didn't look like she could bring the house down with her performance as she did. Her looks probably held her back all these years. It's obvious now that she's made a quite a splash, and we haven't heard the last of her.

Watching that youtube video for the first time knocked most people through a loop. I cried, and so did my husband. If people didn't cry, they got a lump in their throat. Those that didn't have a heart of stone, lol. Just kidding there, but it really stirred the emotions of most people, which explains the 100 million hits on youtube. There's the Simon Cowell factor, acting condensing towards Susan, and people rolling their eyes at her before she sang. There's her Sunday best outfit. Then, there was that song which is so emotional to begin with. There was a feeling when she started to sing it that just blew everyone away. The most important part of the story to me, is that it's real. This wasn't some manufactured moment. It seemed like it was the finale of a movie, but it was real. It's a feel good story. People love that.
