I've been having trouble for a couple of days now. I wasn't sure though if the problem was with SO or with my computer. Still, this is a complex site and I think a problem here and there is to be expected. TJ and Seth usually keep the site running smoothly.

I thought it had something to with the fact that a few hours ago there were 550 people here.... it works better for me now, and there are 250 people here... so I was thinking it might have to do with crowds.:confused:

TJ is doing the best he can to keep this site going. Servers cost money folks, if you want less problems, you may end up paying for your membership. TJ is doing us all a huge favor by letting members join for free, keeping this site up isn't free for him. Something you might want to think about before you complain.

that happens to me too, but only ocasionally. Good to know it happens to others too, I thought it was my computer since it needs more memory.

I know this costs money, Lauren. I wasn't complaining... I was trying to figure out what had caused some problems I experienced earlier this evening. And I know what a great deal it is to be on a message board free of charge... and am greatful to TJ for it.... I think people are trying to figure out what exactly is going on that's causing the problems, I think they just want to be notified... but who am I to say?
