I like both. I like cream cheese, peanut butter, or jam on them.

I could go either way; the deciding factor is which one is more fresh at the time. A Thomas's English Muffin will usually trump a bagel. However, who can resist a fresh, just-out-of-the-oven bagel from a bagel place, not one of those doughy, packaged bagels from the supermarket?

for me, i go for bagels. especially plain bagels as they have more flavour. though my favourite variety is cinnamon and raisin. i don't like the taste of english muffins that have no jam or marmalade on it.

I love a nice, warm and buttered bagel in the morning!

Both are great :)

A bagel can be breakfast by itself.

But I like English muffins a little better as part of a "complete" breakfast (with eggs and either sausage or bacon)

Speaking of whch, it's breakfast time! Have a great day everyone!

Well my taste buds definitely vote for bagels, but my rational mind realizes how many calories, carbs and little fiber they have. So I try to go with english muffins most of the time - but the store bought ones. Thomas or Arnold (I can't remember which brand) makes a high fiber (8 grams) muffin w only 100 cal - and it tastes good too. Compare that to a 350 cal plus bagel w next to no fiber and many many carbs. Not to mention some fat kicked into the bargain. So, in the end I voted for both - but try to keep it to 1/2 a bagel and only 1-2 X a month.
