Hulk Hogan thinks O.J. Simpson may have had a point -- when he slit his ex wife's throat.

Hulk sees a parallel between the plights of poor O.J. and himself. Hulk just told Rolling Stone: "You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can't go to anymore, you're driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife . . . I totally understand OJ. I get it."

Kato, your room is ready...

UPDATE: Linda Hogan's rep just issued a statement: "We have always maintained that the fear that Linda has had to live with comes from the rage and instability much too often associated with pro wrestlers." The statement goes on: "Linda and her family are taking these recent homicidal comments seriously."

The statement concludes by saying Linda's attorney is weighing his legal options.

UPDATE #2: Hulk's attorney, David R. Houston, tells us, "Page 6 only quoted a very small portion of the Rolling Stone article, not the statement in its entirety. He said that he understands the frustration that can lead to that sort of activity but he definitely does not condone it. He is grounded in his faith and a belief in a higher power and does not believe in violence for any reason."

I don't know a lot about relationships. Women are a mystery to me, but I know this:

NEVER TAKE OJ SIMPSON'S SIDE!

exactly, that's why i never listen to any news articles about a celebrity on the basis of one or two seemingly outrageous quotes from them. the media purposely avoids context like the plague to draw in readers' attention. mel gibson could tell an interviewer "i hate people who have no class" and the next day you'd see the headline "Mel Gibson: 'I Hate People'". i remember one time when lindsay lohan told an interviewer that she didn't want to date just one person, meaning she didn't want a monogamous relationship. the interviewer violently twisted the words "i'm not dating just one person" into "i have more than one boyfriend (http://www.hollywood.com/news/Lohan_I_Have_More_Than_One_Boyfriend/3589999)". it amazes me that to this day, so many people still take these kinds of articles seriously and don't consider the tactics that the media uses to misrepresent situations.

Yeah, the media always uses a "hook" to attract a viewer; some totally not even true and misrepresenting the facts.

One notorious one that is more recent is the whole "Jamie Foxx was held hostage in his hotel room". That was totally 100% bull.

Foxx stopped the man from entering the room and the perp then fled the scene. Foxx's security then flagged him down to the police and he was arrested. There was no hostage incident of the sort.

I can't believe news sources do this.

It takes two to wreck a relationship, she seemed to have wanted a divorce for awhile even when their show was on the air. Hogan did what he could to please her.

I agree she seemed that way on TV. The only Hogan that sort of seemed ok was Brooke.

Dosent Hogn know how despised O.J. Simpson is??

Saying you undestand where someone like O.J. is coming from is like saying a person understands why Hitler tried to wipe out the Jews (not saying O.J. is anything like Hitler). Point is Hogan should have known better to say something like that. I guess I can see him being upset about his ex wife dating someone so much longer, but they are divorced and he should move on with his life.

I agree he should have known better. But Hogan has said a lot of dumb stuff over the past couple of years ever since his son got in the car accident.

Dude should have just not used OJ's name. He'd have garnered more sympathy just simply stating that it sucks having to see a 19 year old punk living your life. Now, no matter what he meant by it, people are going to think he's out to off his wife.

It it had been a better analogy (from a wrestling perspsective at least) for the Hulkster to bring up Chris Benoit!?

hogan had everyones sympathy in regards to his divorce until now. given what he said, he only lends himself to lindas cause.

he should have quit while he was ahead

but really i could care less about the whole sordid tale. my policy in most cases is "i care as much about celebrities as they care about me"
