After deciding to have the den redone into a game room, everything is now completed.

Here are some photos (more photos coming up soon).
Two work-in-progress photos and two finished photos:

Very nice. Are you going to add more games?

Very nice. Are you going to add more games?
I have to be very careful with that. I want to make sure any games I buy I really want and won't get tired of. Buying the Wizard pinball machine was ,for me, an easy choice because it was always my favorite pinball game- dating back to the mid-'70s when I played it at arcades frequently.

I will probably add more '50s decour and signs before deciding on more games.

I forgot to mention that the flooring was redone. Laminate flooring ("Colonial Oak") was laid on top of the old vinyl tile. The green walls were redone in "Bay City Blue" Dutch Boy paint. And the beige drapes were replaced with vinyl blinds. The work was done by a friend who said he needed the work and the money.

Here are a few more photos...

Yes, plenty of records (LPs and 45s) and sheet music. I figure since the room has a '50s theme, there really should be vinyl records in there.
These two photos show some examples...

I love the color of the walls.
Thanks. I turned out just as I expected. And it looks so much better than the pale green that was on there.

Big difference... see:

I LOVE the "ocean blue" colour of the walls Tony!!! That, with white trim is always a classic, cool, comfortable look that you won't tire of soon.

And yes, the idea of putting up old vinyls on the walls rocks. (Actually, I was going to finally toss my old records and 45s, but now that I think of it, I just might hang onto them)!!

If you can, down the road you should also add a neon sign or two. I've seen them at CostCo and I'm sure they'd be easily available anywhere in CA.

Good job!! Very cool!

Yes, I think that blue looks so much better than the green. And, as you said, the white trim has a classic look. It contrasts with the blue well, too.

It would be a good idea for you the keep yours. They will only get even more rare in the future.

I do plan to add one or two more. Maybe some kind of wall mural, too. A 1950s diner scene.

Good job!! Very cool!

Thanks, Cathie. Glad you like it. :)

I see what you mean. Records are fun to have.

I have over 150 albums (LP's) and over 150 45s.
Mostly '50s/'60s, some '70s.

Sure, come on over! You may have to refuel your car a few times, though. Unless you are traveling by train or bus or airplane.

Yeah, I can't afford a 3,000 mile car trip. Still, it looks like an awesome room and you did a great job!!

Yes, the room certainly looks a lot better than it did before.

I am going to see "Mary Ann" (well, Dawn Wells, actually) this weekend. She will be at the autograph show in Burbank! :happyface

Is there such a thing as a Mary Ann poster?

Thanks. I think I'll enjoy... especially on hot summer days (the room is on the lower level and is never overly warm).
