I do it all the time. Sometimes I'll have CD's playing while I'm online, sometimes I'll have I-Tunes running while I'm online.

Either your laptop is outdated or it's in serious need of a memory upgrade.

Might need an upgrade.

What year did you buy it?

what's the situation exactly? do the media player and internet browser work separately but not together or something?

Yeah you might need more memory. You can buy more memory for your computer. Did you update your windows media player? Or try using Itunes

Well Before I buy anything I will just

1. Use my webtv for internet and the laptop for music

OR
2.Use my Laptop for Intenet and my Radio for Music

Windows Media Player is a Memory hog - try using a different player like Media Player Classic (http://download.cnet.com/Media-Player-Classic/3000-2139_4-10518778.html) - it basically a stripped-down version

...or try iTunes or some other program

I agree with others you might need a memory upgrade.

I can't remember the last time I actually listened to a CD through Windows Media Player. I'd suggest ripping the CD to a folder and listening to files that way, I've always found it a lot easier, although sometimes I still use my stereo. I swear my stereo is the only reason I still buy CDs. :)

I will never understand why a song sounds so much better on a Laptop vs The Stereo
