NBC is pulling cooking competition series "Chopping Block" from primetime after three weeks on the air, sources said.

The network informed affiliates Thursday night that the reality series starring renowned chef Marco Pierre White will be off Wednesday nights as of next week.

"Block" will be replaced with repeats of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." The "CI" episodes are repeats of episodes that have previously aired on NBC; the episodes that previously only aired on USA Network will still make their broadcast debut on NBC starting April 29 as originally announced.

"Block" debuted modestly March 12, then fell in the ratings with each episode. Sources said NBC plans to run off the remaining episodes at some point.

I had a feeling it wouldn't last very long... that chef was no Gordon Ramsay!

^ I'm with you. I watched one or one and a half eps of this when it was done in Britain (with supposed celebrities none of course we've ever heard of over here) and it sucked. This guy's ego is greater than the dirt in his hair!

He sure is no Gordon Ramsey! I'll take Hell's Kitchen over this anytime.

I find the title of this thread very ironic.

I can't believe it made it this far. Premiered modestly? It had 3 million viewers and just a little over a 1.0 demo. The show was a completely mock of Hell's Kitchen (which is 100 times better).
