I heard the news of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer folding recently (but it will remain an online thing), as well as the Rocky Mountain News ending last month. I remember the Cincinnati Post ceasing publication at the beginning of 2008. It should be noted that those publications had competition in their respective cities. I also heard similar news (no pun intended) with the Christian Science Monitor, the only national publication.
